Controversial Why did Thriller Bark Forums fail so spectacularly as an Orojackson successor but Worstgen succeeded?

Why would the average web surfer watch this awful drama and not immediately flee? Lmfao.
Thriller Bark failed because Thriller Bark staff "shockingly" did not pass the vibe check like Worstgen staff.
They couldn’t even handle a manga panel meme and got bodied by their own thin skin. It died because its staff wanted a safe space for them to circlejerk, meanwhile Bogard created Worstgen to embrace the chaos/wank/memes/madness and became what OJ/TB never could, a forum driven by its people and not protected egos.
I'm fairly positive I would have gotten banned in TB within first few minutes of registration had they recognized me from OJ.
"Worstgen" itself was just a silly 2017 OJ fanclub concept I and @Albino 👑 turned into a "rebellious" group according to them because we literally just spammed random nonsensical memes in it.

I remember on the final days of Orojackson when the OJ mods tried to push Thriller Bark as their new successor after they shut down and would actively delete any talk about Worstgen in threads. Flash foward to today and Thriller Bark is a barren wasteland whereas Worstgen (even if we're not as active as 2020-2022) still breathes some life here and there. And it's always made me curious, like what happened there?

I think Korean Spoiler made the biggest contribution to this forum because people here found the spoilers earlier than others.
I have been following this forum since 2020 and my goal in joining here was just to read and post spoilers.
Before this, the only forum I was a member of was Arlong Park, where I only read the messages.
In this forum, I was able to make good friends, talk to them and discuss various topics. Also, the admins discussed like normal people next to us. I think the camaraderie between the members attracted me here.

As an OG I can say that too many things happened, which took away ThrillerBark's momentuum.
-Like how WG settled with spoiler providers and powerscale discussions
-Internal drama that drained slowly the core members of TB away
-The staff's desire to stay niche and not expand as big as WG or NF
The vision was clearly to build a RPG centered community and hope to expand it.
