Why is this a mystery now? Like isn’t this the culmination of a supposed character arc? Why don’t we see anything? Why is Oda making a mystery?

imagine Oda actually showed a scene of Sanji doing something on panel. Now it’s left vague and up in the air and Sanji is all up in his feelings ABOUT SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED OFFSCREEN… TF? Does Oda not know how to write this? Does he not want us to actually give a shit about what Sanji is feeling? Tf is going on?

It's possible Oda simply wants to avoid drawing him beat up a woman. The other possibility is that he wants to intentionally make it vague and is possibly hinting at Sanji having CoC. We still don't know if Sanji knocked her out with CoC or by beating her.

Just the possibility of hitting a women makes sanji questions his himself, its funny how oda writes something so clearly and easily to understand but people still get confused by it.

To leave the reader with the same sense of confusion and wondering that he has cast upon Sanji. Sanji isn't 100 percent sure what happened, and therefore the reader isn't 100 percent sure what happened. When Sanji remembers and/or finds out, we'll get a mini flashback showing us as well.
