Questions & Mysteries Why didn’t Oda show the Sanji scene?

#83
So once again I was right… The reason Oda didn’t do something as obvious as simply showing Sanji beat the woman so that we readers can share in Sanji’s internal conflict is simple… Because Sanji didn’t do shit and all that was a waste of time

I guess it was just a tool to make the internal conflict more dramatic. Like if it had just been Sanji debating about whether to accept the PU or not with zero real consequences just because he didn't want to be associated with Germa, it would've been way less impactful. But now that the moment has actually passed, it didn't really matter in the long run, but DURING the process it made the moment in chapter 1031 way better

Not for me… It completely fell flat coz it was randomly overly dramatic COZ NOTHING WAS SHOWN

I made this thread complaining about it and people kept saying “What you wanna be spoon fed” as if getting actual context for a character’s inner struggle as opposed to being presented with a mystery is me wanting to be spoon fed

maybe this worked for readers who were 1000% so invested in anything Sanji did at all that he would probably fart and people would love it… Me simply asking for context seemed too much for people… now look
