Chapter Discussion Why didn't Kaido mention Rocks D. Xebec in 994?

The hint is there in Kaido's wording.

"Roger and Whitebeard.... They DID IT RIGHT."

What we can infer from that is that however Xebec died, it was in a way that Kaido feels is unbecoming of a Pirate. I feel like he might have abandoned his crew during the battle of God's Valley, and ended up dying alone on some deserted island.

The thing I wonder instead is why Kaido didnt mention Oden? Does he think his death isnt worthy?
Because it is certainly up there at the top.

He already said to oden his death was commendable before he killed him, no to mention the scabbards were there for that one.

It's more likely Kaido, Whitebeard and Big Mom were the ones who betrayed Rocks not Rocks betraying them.

by "they did it right" he meant that Xebec should have made his demise a world wide public event.

Because Roger and WB death inspired people around the world. They make their death means something while Xebeck was unknown and dont inspire anyone just the end of a pirate group.

Whitebeard and Roger both received very public, well-documented demises, whereas Xebec’s defeat was completely censored by the WG and is largely unknown to the world. The possibility of Rocks being alive is more than slim, but I don’t think that bit of dialogue is specifically meant to imply that.

I think it’s the possibility of him being dead that’s actually very slim.

When talking about those who had a great death, he references both Whitebeard and Roger but not Rocks, which is quite interesting, especially as he went down to Roger and Garp, and was his former captain.

Or does Kaido think he's still alive? etc

because Xebec was ambushed by Roger and Garp and killed by ambush and so not so honorably
