Yes, Ace and whitebeard deserved to die, they where pirates with a bounty that stated dead or alive, nobody forced them to become a pirates and akainu did his job as a marine to eradicate pirates. If the straw hats fight and defeat the marines it won’t makes sense as they don’t fight good guys, so in what scenario would the straw hats fight the marines and defeat them.
Doflamingo said in marineford war that the winners would become justice, but the straw hats winning would make pirates justice which would be bad in the already disorganized world of one piece.

Even if akainu deserves to be beaten by luffy or sabo because he murdered innocent people that doesn’t mean the other admiral including kizaru and fooder marines need to be defeated since they are innocent compared to the straw hats who are pirates and pirates are not good people no matter how you twist it, nobody forced them to become pirates as they could have become marine or adventurers

What makes kizaru a bad guy while aokiji and sengoku are good guys. Kizaru never killed any innocent person and sengoku knows more than kizaru

At a base level, the Admirals enforce the will of the Tenryubito and they are objectively bad guys. Going into a personal look at each of them and you have;

• Aokiji willing to hunt and kill an 8 year old Robin if she caused trouble.
• Aokiji murdering his friend Saul.
• Aokiji handing out a Buster Call to Spandem despite being there to witness what happened on Ohara.
• Akainu sacrificing a ship full of civilians on the hypothetical that an archeologist might've gotten through.
• Akainu going straight to execution for deserters, no trial or dishonorable discharge.
• Akainu having a fanatical need to eliminate pirates as they are "evil", which we know a good bit aren't.

Kizaru really didn't do anything wrong at any point besides being a lapdog to the Tenryubito.

To be fair, I don't think that's the Admiralty exactly. It's more of the Tenryubito and Marines.

It's obvious that Marines are not Villains, they are simply Big Obstacle in Luffy's Journey
So Straw Hats will definitely fight them, but no Admiral needs to be Defeated
Akainu imo needs only to be taught a Lesson

Luffy have this Ability to make others believe in him & trust him to take down the Big Bad
So when Akainu decides to stop fighting at the End (Similar to Smoker in Arabasta & Fujitora in Dressrosa), it wil be like Luffy's Greatest Feat in terms of Influence

Akainu isn't that Bad, Garp for example still talks about him & laugh, Sengoku respects him, he hates Celestial Dragons ... etc
It's just that He & Fujitora witnessed a certain Incident in the Past, which turned one of them into an Extremist with Absolute Justice Motto & made other one Blind himself

It seemed like Sengoku was involved in it, maybe he didn't give the orders but he certainly went along with it. Same with Garp who knew those babies weren't Roger's baby, that's even worse

Marines by themselves constitute the guys defending civilians from Pirates although not all Pirates are worse than all Marines and Doffy explained that thoroughly and he was pretty convincing too. :cheers:

If one of ohara's scholars knew how to read the poneglyphs he could have fallen into the hands of kaido and big mom and we already saw how they want to capture robin. So Akainu fulfilled his mission and served the greater good.

Except they are. Some of them. This is like one of the main themes of One Piece and answers the very question you ask in the thread. There is no objective “good“ and “evil” side in the Pirates vs Marines conflict. That’s pretty much the point of the very first arc with Luffy, Coby and Morgan

There are good pirates- the Strawhats, the Red Hairs, the Sun Pirates
There are evil pirates- Blackbeard, the Beast Pirates
There are shades of grey- the Big Mom Pirates, Kid Pirates

Same for the Marines
good Marines- Fujitora, Coby, Smoker
evil Marines- Akainu, Morgan
shades of grey- Kizaru, Aokiji

The closest thing to an overall evil organisation is the Celestial Dragons and the World Gov they run, and even they aren’t 100% evil, because of Celestial Dragons like Vivi, Mjosgard, all Doflamingo’s family apart from him, the good kings Luffy has came across like Dalton, Cobra and Riku.
