Character Discussion Why do people hate Katakuri?

He’s got a cool power, cool design, is honorable and is protective of his family. Im not sure why people hate him as a character? Even seen someone call him a dirtbag.

All the big meme pirates are slandered as a whole. But they totally deserve to be slandered.
Lolda hyped them to heavens as a group of villains,but they turned out to be pathetic and innefective villains.
People have been theorizing that they will be relevant in future by allying with condom-boy's gang to rescue Pudding,but that won't make them any better. It will only make them look even more pathetic.
This theory ignores all the rules of what makes a well-written villain. A well-written villain must be effective in living opposing the heroes. The most pathetic type of villain are those who can't live opposing the heroes,and need to end up becoming friends with them.
Since Lolda didn't allow big meme pirates to be effective in opposing condom-boy's gang,they deserve nothing but be laughed at.
