Character Discussion Why does Imu-sama, the supposed final villain of One Piece, seem like crap so far?!

What do you think of the portrayal of the supposed final villain?

Yhwach >>> Ulquiorra.
Except Ulquiorra is not comparable to Kaido just like Yhwach is comparable to Imu sama.

Ulquiorra from the beginning, readers know he is just 1 of Aizen's lackey, and not even the Top 3 lackey (not Top 3 Espada number wise, and fall even lower if we count other lackey like Gin).
While Kaido, prior to his defeat, people generally agreed he was the Top 1 in OP verse.

Ulquiorra didn't have major build up from the past. Kaido broke Moria mentally.
Ulquiorra is more comparable to Doffy than to Kaido.

Kaido is more comparable to Aizen.
Kaido soloed scabbards like Aizen soloed some Captains.

7 pages of pure attempts by readers to change the reality in which Imu, the supposed final villain, finds himself in – this is going to be funny to read.

I honestly hope that Oda reads this thread and somehow decides to salvage Imu-sama's initial portrayal. My first disappointment is that he hasn't shown himself to be omniscient, and this isn't even related to Kaido vs. Imu because the same applies to Kaido; he isn't omniscient either. My second disappointment, as I showed in the thread, is that the character's portrayal and abilities so far are lackluster, and nothing suggests that he is on that divine level readers label him as. If that were the case, the One Piece universe would disappoint me even more for calling someone so weak divine when compared to characters from other manga and anime.

Op doesn´t revolve around over the top stuff, you won´t see(i hope) aokiji freezing time with his fruits, kizaru travelling the world, akainu melting the strings of reality... its very grounded for shonen standards.

Dude, One Piece is not that verse. No one in One Piece is ever going to compete with Krillin from Dragon Ball or any other halfway decent fighter from DBZ. Your expectations are unreasonable and if your valuation of the quality of a story revolves around how much its characters could win in a multiversal power scaling dick measuring competition then you are completely nuts. :ohreally:

Didn't have the balls for a rematch did he.
Oden was chained with his swords at his waist, loser. He didn't choose to escape because he didn't want to; he knew he wouldn't get another cheap shot by hiding in the vegetation. And yet his strongest attack failed to get the job done. Lmao.

Kaido is so full of himself that he leaves Oden without chains and with his swords in a cell for him to decide whether he wants to escape or not...

Kaido > Oden, just as Kaido > Mihawk, and just as Kaido killed Zoro's relative DAI KENGOU Ushimaru too, Kaido kills all the swordsmen

Kaido > Mihawk.
Kaido > Shanks.
Kaido > Oden.
Kaido > Dai Kengou Ushimaru (+ 2 samurai helping him).
Kaido > Legendary Yakuza samurai Hyogoro.
Kaido > Zoro and Law (Chapter 1010).

Kaido's track record against swordsmen just keeps growing monstrously.
:sanmoji:
Was Oden so afraid of cutting the cell bars and going for a rematch? Or did Kaido hit him too hard that he didn't want another one of those?

Oden isn't the one who has ptsd and cries he can't get a good fight 20 years later.

Why did kaido kill the old hag who saved him ?

Kaidos track record vs swordsmen

Rox > got stomped
Roger > got stomped
Oden > was gonna 2 shot kaido
Shanks > made kaido run without a scratch
Zoro > scarred him with a broken body pre power up
