Questions & Mysteries why does Kidd have so little panel time in Wano

#21
How will kids even hurt Kaido I know he will but how
I already posted this theory before, but with Kaido overcoming A9's ryu and healing his injuries, I believe it will take a lot more than Ryu to keep his injuries from constantly healing. Hence, I predict the SNs against Kaido & BM to open with Zoro opening Kaido's wound and ends with ZKK.

In between those two events, Kaido having his wound opened early in the fight is a relevant enough injury that does not heal quickly and will allow other SNs who aren't Luffy (especially Kidd and Killer, whose ability cannot bypass defenses like Law's) to deal less significant damages to Kaido and allow Luffy to deal many significant damages to Kaido. These damages will pile up on top of his old wound opening and wear him down as they tax his healing factor.

You’re being delusional if you think Kidd won’t play a big role in the battle against Kaido. Just sit back and watch, he’ll get his panel time in the Kaido fight. The reason he hasn’t had much time so far in the raid is because he’s been running up the castle straight towards the boss the whole time. He doesn’t have time to waste on small fry.
He most definetly will play a role I just dont see him kiling Kaido

Ok, that’s fine. Tbh I don’t really see anyone besides maybe Big Mom killing Kaido. But out of everyone on the alliance side, Kidd easily makes the most sense to kill Kaido imo. It would be something like he kills him after he’s already downed by Luffy’s “final blow.” But anyway, I still believe that Kidd will have the 2nd biggest impact on this fight only second to Luffy. I know Zoro fans don’t like hearing that but we’ll just have to wait and see.

why do you think Kidd makes more sense than Zoro:choppawhat:
- Oda won’t let someone in Luffy’s own crew outshine Luffy against Yonko captains and we know Luffy won’t kill

- Kidd has personal stake in this battle and he’s someone who’s known for being a cruel killer. If the fight ends with Kaido downed, do you think Kidd would just leave it at that?

- If Luffys underling outshines Kidd in this arc. Kidd’s role as a rival is over and I don’t think that can happen here because Kidd will be relevant post Wano for the Shanks stuff. I think Wano is Kidd’s “introduction arc“ (sort of like what Punk Hazard was for Law) and will be used to hype him as a viable competitor for the throne.

- Luffy and Kidd are the only Supernova who have challenged the Yonko on multiple occasions. They have shown ambition and willpower that the others simply haven’t. It would only make sense if these two are the driving force from the generation that topple the Yonko.

- Imo the roles could be: Zoro reopens the wound and matches Odens feat, Luffy lands the final hit to down Kaido, and Kidd ends Kaido’s life.

But like I said there’s a decent chance either Kaido doesn’t die or a third party like Big Mom or Blackbeard kills him. I just think out of all the “good guys” Kidd honestly has the highest chance of killing him imo.

-Killing Kaido after Luffy has beat him isnt something which outshines Luffy.
-Do you think Zoro doesnt have a personal stake in this.
-I personally dont believe he wil be involved with Shanks nor do I think he will be a big rival.
- Not important.

why do you think Kidd makes more sense than Zoro:choppawhat:
Oda will never have a crewmate overshadow Luffy, that’s why Jinbe only joined recently as opposed to pretimeskip and why Yamato will probably join aswell. No one in the strawhats are stronger than Luffy, including Zoro and Luffy is always the one who fights and beats the villian of the arc. Kid is a rival to Luffy who is far above Zoro, so Zoro isn’t even part of this discussion.

Kid will kill Kaido after Luffy has defeated him, he even said so himself in the panels posted in this thread.

That’s foreshadowing by Oda. Kaido will get beheaded by Kid, not Zoro.

I mean it’s very obvious that Kidd will have some type of involvement in the Shanks arc. Oda has draw too many connections there for it to be a coincidence.

- Kidd and Shanks have almost identical appearances (red hair, missing left arm, scar on left side of the face)

- Before Wano Kidd’s whole goal was to take down Shanks. He’s already had a confrontation with his crew as well

- Shanks gave his arm for Luffy, while he took away Kidd’s arm.

- Shanks taught Luffy to ignore people who laugh at him, Kidd kills people who laugh at him lol

Kidd’s main arc will probably be whatever arc focuses on Shanks. And back on the Kidd and Zoro Wano topic, if you truly believe Kidd isn’t a rival then I guess that’s where our arguments differ. Because if Oda means to truly make Kidd a rival (which he has gone out of his way multiple times to build him up as) then he can’t be outshined by his rivals underling.

Didn't Zoro say that he wanted to kill Kaido as well:choppawhat::memehm:

2. Zoro has had way more foreshadowing

Kaido says if you open the scar you are worthy of killing him.

Oda didn’t even let Zoro beat Hordy Jones, he’s not going to let him beat Kaido, you Zoro fans are the most delusional bunch I’ve come across.

Well Zoro did take out hody first before his underling gave him the drug Zoro has more of a connection with people of Wano than he did with FI so thats a false quivalency.

Also could you address the arguments instead of using ad hominem

He’s definitely not killing Kaido but to say that he won’t play a key role in his defeat is nearly as ridiculous at this point. Low panel time is precisely the reason why he’s expected to shine when it counts vs Kaido. Because Oda originally envisioned an important role for his character to begin with and Kid has been hellbent on beating Kaido this entire time, that build up isn’t suddenly being thrown out the window.

Yes because like I just said, if he gets outshined by someone on Luffys crew and not Luffy himself it destroy a lot of the hype Kidd has before his arc that will give him main focus. Think about this, did Zoro outshine Law in Punk Hazard or Dressrosa? Oda has made it clear that only Luffy is allowed to outshine his main rivals which are Kidd and Law. After Dressrosa Law isn’t really a rival anymore, but Kidd still is. Expect more of the same. Oda will not let anybody but Luffy outshine Kidd. Mark my words. Zoro will absolutely have his huge moments, but don’t expect to leave this arc thinking that Zoro is more impressive than Kidd.

but Wano is Zoro's arc. He's done everything has in previous arcs, his conections to wano citizens are stronger than ayone else, and this is possibly the land of his ancestors

Wano isn’t “Zoro’s arc”. Wano is the conclusion to the Yonko Saga and it’s main focus is the New Generation/Worst Generation surpassing the old. That’s what it’s been built as since the beginning of New World. (Finding out Kidd was wrecking Big Moms ships, Luffy challenging Big mom at fish man island, Luffy and Law alliance, Kidd alliance, destroying Kaido’s smile, angering Big Mom at WCI, etc). Zoro as a member of the Worst Generation and one of the main characters will obviously play a big role, but this arc was never sold off as “Zoro’s arc”. It’s Zoro fans that keep on pushing that bs.

But like you said Zoro does have great connection to Wano so I think he will have big moments like reopening Kaido’s wound with Enma, revisiting Ryuma’s grave, and unlocking Conquerers Haki. Is that not good enough?

Luffy made promises with each princess and in Wano Momo is more important than Hiyori and Luffy made a promise with him while he was crying asking for help like it was with Vivi, Shirahoshi and Rebecca.

Also just because Wano might be Zoro’s arc doesn’t mean he’s going to get special treatment just like Sanji didn’t get special treatment in his arc.

Still doesnt change the fact that Zoro has a stronger connection with Wano than Luffy
Sanji was only outshined by the Luffy that arc and even the people might meme the cake it was very important. WCI showed Sanjis cooking as a chef because he is the chef. Wano will showcase Zoros combat because he is the combatant of the crew.

Zoro will be outshined by Luffy this arc too.
