Questions & Mysteries Why does Luffy not teach his crew about Haki?

#1
Luffy is an Emperor and the majority of his crews are total weaklings. As the captain who mastered all three types of Haki to the highest level, it should be his duty to teach his underlings and help them to reach the next level.

I can understand that his right-hand man Zoro is a swordsman unlike Luffy and will go his own way to become the WSS so I don't include him here. It's not really Luffys business to intervene in this case.

But the other SH's should get a Haki lesson from their captain. Let them have some training sessions.

Just because you can do doesn't mean you can teach

The question we should be asking is why didn't Fraudgon teach Robin haki while she was with them for 2 years

It just depends on Oda, I think he does this on purpose to leave room for improvement/growth, and make them as strong as he wants during a fight, in the worst case scenario Oda wants them to be as strong as he wants. , in the same way as other crews that could have their members trained by the Yonkos, however this does not happen.

Because why would he? They all are strong enough with their specialty why waste their time
Waste their time? Some caribou would totally obliterate the entire crew if the monster trio and jimbei wouldn't be around. That's kinda embarrassing for the pirate king's crew.

CoA and CoO are the most basic skills they should have. They even have it in themselves, they'd only need a haki user to give a 10min lesson about it. Instead the strawhat haki users eat, cook, sleep or swim during all the days and weeks they're out at sea.

Even Franky learned how to deal with Caribou. And 10 minute lesson it takes months to learn haki.

Do they have interest in learning haki though? All the strawhats are clearly aware of it, but they need to show desire to learn it. Luffy isn't like Blackbeard that wants all his crewmates to be strong, Luffy's nakama are truly his friends (he just has the luck to have nakama that want to move forward themselves).

(Also, I'm supposing that all strawhats can learn haki, since Usopp has it and Oda already said that he'll always want him as the weakest strawhat*. And there is a lot of fodders that can use it too.)

Why does this keep coming up?

it took Rayleigh a year and half to teach Luffy the basics of haki. Think about that, it took an expert more than a year to teach a prodigy about haki. What makes you think Luffy would have the time to efficiently teach them about haki?
Since even Boo knows haki...yes, pretty much.

Yeah, that incredible, disappointing, total weakling.
Him.
Again, look at my post and actually read it instead of smearing your face on the screen. Boo likely had an entire lifetime of training to learn haki from a season vet like Chinjao. If it took a prodigy like Luffy less than 2 years, and Boo probably around 10ish if we’re being conservative about it. It still would take the rest of the SHs more than whatever time they spent in between islands

Luffy would probably have an easier time teaching animals how to use Haki than people.

In my headcanon, he can sense how far along his crewmates are with their Haki, whether it's innate or already cultivated, but he's not doing anything because it's not his style and he doesn't have teaching skills, and emulating what Rayleigh did for him is liable to kill someone. :milaugh:
