Why Is Boruto So Much More Popular Than One Piece?

#3
I was surprised when I came for my sister and her classmates were talking about Boruto and discussing the new episode and at the same time one of them said that it was better than "childish shit One Piece". (I live in Russia, here the anime is not as cult as in the West, but still Boruto is more popular than One Piece among the younger generation)

That kind of explains it, to be fair. It's easier for a new generation to start with Boruto without having actually seen Naruto, instead of watching 1000 One Piece episodes to catch up.

Also One Piece's animation has been a joke for a long time and Gear 5 won't exactly change their minds about it being childish.

Boruto is still shit, though.

I think that the main factors is the length of One Piece and bad anime adaptation (VERY stretched fights, and bad animation compared to HxH and Bleach). Plus, One Piece is about emotions and atmosphere and not really about pathos (pre timeskip), younger generation prefer "edgy" Bleach or "cool ninja" Naruto than emotional or warm moments. Thats why OP lost in the West to DB, Bleach, HxH, Naruto.

Because ninjas are cooler, at subconscious level, than priates and marines. Boruto has its faults but so does One Piece. Naruto had some of the best villains. Boruto is living off the Naruto legacy.

Edgy bleach? Lol.

Naruto is literally known due to the emotions that the main character makes you feel, the entire second half of the show is about an emotional boy trying to bring his boy/friend back to their village

Luffy is annoying as fuck and most SHs are as shallow as it gets, OP exceeds on its side characters.
Naruto is a phenomenon worldwide meanwhile most people outside of japan couldnt give less of a f about OP.

The post is referencing outside Japan, not inside Japan. The first link you posted is inside Japan. Of course One Piece is going to be popular inside Japan.

Boruto is like the third most popular anime in the world right now. It already has over 300 episodes.

Where does the post ever say outside of Japan? You're just shifting the goal post, One Piece shits on Naruto and Boruto in terms of popularity.
