He will always be BB's VC.

- Captain of the First Ship. This doesnt take into consideration order of joining since Shiryu is heigher than the original members.
- Conversing with BB about Aokiji and Shiryu both being potential traitors
- If we use the Pre Timeskip reverse bounty scaling....BB had the lowest bounty and Burgess had the second lowest bounty.
- The best feats within the crew so far.

Being captain of a ship number =/= vice catpain, doesn't mean much, oda confirmed that much. It's just a number attached to it, they had a manh pirates as underlings split into 10 ships, Burgess leads one of them. That simple.

Burgess vivre card states that he took this position because he was one of the earliest to join the team.
BBP has no VC but Burgess is clearly closer to this.
Even though Shiryu is the second strongest in the team, Blackbeard doesn't trust him.

Blackbeard entrusted Ace’s fruit to Burgess…thats a big deal. He wants Ace to be reborn into Burgess. Burgess is also the BBP whos the most like BB. Like they both always get Ls, until they get rewarded with the Ult W. Blackbeard captured Ace, and Burgess helped found Revo HQ and had the BBPs destroy it.

- Burgess also was handling Base Sabo, making Sabo run away to the Mera Fruit and eat it. Base Sabo is Dragon’s YC1
- Burgess made Koala piss her pants, and had a similar threat lvl to Doffy in Sabo’s eyes.
- All of Base Sabo’s attacks are useless on him, and he cant crush Burgess’s head like he did Vice Admiral Bastille
- Only attacks that do shit to Burgess is the flame fruit attacks

Going by WBp,their ship poitions were based on a draw.

False.

Oden was appointed the 2nd division commander when WB first established this system. And he is clearly the strongest of the crew, excluding WB himself.

Oda answered a long time ago in a SBS that every division commander in his crew has the same rank.

Marco is just happened to be the strongest AND 1st division commander in the period before timeskip. That's all.

He can be rotated to 16th division commander and still be No.2 of the WBP.
