General & Others Why is Egghead so close to Yonko territories?

Egghead itself and Vegapunk are both essential to the World Government. Egghead is right next to Wano (Kaido) and Elbaf (Shanks). It doesn't seem that far from BB's headquarter Hachinosu too. Wouldn't it make more sense if Vegapunk was given an island close to Marineford or Sabaody?

The simplest answer is plot reason. Is there an in-world explanation for this? Would love to hear some creative justifications for this.

If a Yonko tries to Invade Egghead, by the time They arrive, They find Hundreds of Marine Ships waiting for them
Not to mention Dozens of Sea Beasts, Dozens of Pacifista & Egghead's Defense System (And recently, Seraphim too)

A Yonko risking their Army against Egghead, would only leave themselves vulnerable for other Yonko (Like Big Mom for example)

Plot imo but like Salah said it wasn’t Yonko territory back when he shifted from Punk Hazard .

Well, those territories (not just Egghead) probably belonged to the WG long before there were any pirates around. G-14 (Doll's base) is near Egghead, for example, and Hachinosu still wasn't BB's territory (it was the pirate island already though, under Ochoku's rule).

Still a very questionable decision, I agree, since Vegapunk was reallocated there very recently. I guess that the WG really trusted on Vegapunk's capabilities of defending the island against those threats. (Elbaf looks like an isolationist country like Wano though, it isn't really Shanks' territory... I don't think the giants care about such world affairs.)

Because reality is pirates don't wage wars with marines , in general they avoid them . We know from Oden flasback Whitebeard avoided fighting marines when he could, Blackbeard entire crew run away from Akainu, Shanks when came at Marineford didnt attack blindly just offered peace. There are exceptions when something high is at stake like Aces execution .
