This Joy Boy clash might feature some robust tension. In general Luffy vs Kaido had some tension but it was disrupted by the endless times Luffy was defeated. 🤔

There is no tension for this fight. Just look at the hype surrounding this fight here, no one cares. Because we all know luffy will win at the end, asspull or not.
Zoro vs King didn't have tension because most of people were sure Zoro will one shot him. Had few tension moment but ok. the fight was better than any other fight tho.

Law and Kidd vs Big Mom had for example lots of tensions because we didn't know if oda had the ball to make a yonkou be defeated, law and kidd attacks were cool but felt no real damage. It was hard for them. It was interesting to read.

It's a lot less contracted because his fight is a lot more important, but saying their fights had no tension is bullshit.

King nearly killed Zoro by knocking him off Onigashima and Zoro looked very at risk before unlocking adv CoC.
Sanji would have been killed by Queen had his Germa genetics not unlocked.

TBH Big Mom fight was the only one with tension, even if Oda didnt show that on page.

It was the only wild card. After the strawhats destroyed the tobiroppo, Sanji and Zoro fights become obvious. Luffy of course wont lose.

Kid and Law were the only ones who could fail, because they were fighting a powerfull foe who was not the main villan and could be used as a future villan.

Because Op would be a over 2000 chapters manga if all side characters got well thought out fights.Op is not about fights.
Or he should have reduced some plot about secondary characters in order to portray more fights but I concur that's not Oda's way of drawing :josad:
