What a child loses that many times and still doesn't lose heart or get their will broken, if you weren't such a hater you would realise how insanely strong willpower that takes especially for a young child. Zoro always kept going despite the difference in strength determined to surpass her, while Kuina who was older didn't posess the same mental fortitude to overcome her weakness. The same Zoro who had over 2000 losses also motivated Kuina and steeled her resolve making a promise to compete for the title of WSS.
