Character Discussion Why Mihawk wasn't successful as Shanks & Rogers even though he holds the swordsman tittle?

Well, it's only fair when people acted like it's all Shanks when they used his Yonko title to give him an edge over Mihawk—we're all guilty of throwing the most balanced crew out of the window while hyping Shanks. If anything, not a single captain was given as much credit for establishing a Yonko crew as Mihawk—not even Kaido, who's said to have achieved everything with strength. He's not the sole reason why Buggy was termed a Yonko but he's by far the biggest reason.
Except Mihawk was never singled out. He was paired with Crocodile.
Can we all say that Mihawk was the biggest contributing factor, given what we know about him? Of course....
But to try and spin it like that's the narrative Oda painted in the Cross Guild chapter, is false. Mihawk was never the centralized focus of the establishment of the Cross Guild, or deemed the determining factor that made Buggy a Yonko.
If Mihawk joined Buggy delivery service, and Crocodile and Cross guild were removed from the equation, I can 100 percent guarantee that the World Government would not seem Buggy a Yonko. Kaido could solo his whole crew ten times over, but without the overall strength of his crew that they bring to the table, he wouldn't be a Yonko, and without that same strength that Crocodile and Cross guild add, neither would Buggy, even if Mihawk was apart of his delivery service.

I am surprised you could still say Mihawk wasn't singled out after reading 1058. Did you see that panel where Crocodile or Mihawk would've been the Yonko if it weren't for the mistake? Did you see the panel where Mihawk gets annoyed that Crocodile doesn't wish to be a Yonko? You can't. Mihawk is indeed the central focus of the Cross Guild—he was meant to be the Yonko and the leader of the organization. As arrogant as he is, even Crocodile accepts it. That's the whole narrative behind the entire chapter that's dedicated to explaining why Buggy's the Yonko instead of Mihawk.
