Character Discussion Why Oda is yet to reveal Shanks’s mom

It’s been two chapters and we still don’t have a face or name reveal. Imo the reason is quite obvious.

She’s a Davy and rather than being a Nani clone like a lot of people thought, her face looks like a fem version of Teach/Rocks.

The straw hat is a symbol of the Will of D. Roger to Shanks to Luffy. If Luffy and Roger carry the D, makes the most sense for Shanks to as well.

Also explains why Shanks and Teach have a history, with Shanks ultimately getting scarred by Teach. At some point, I’m betting Teach tried to recruit Shanks on account of them being the last survivors of the Davy clan.

They had a falling out, and Teach scarred Shanks.
