No one’s saying Zoros not acting as the VC here. The point is Nami and Chopper stopped arguing with Zoro after Sanji said he’s right. Then Zoro just had to convince Luffy alone because the crews not going to disagree with both of them.
Nah, the point is that Sanji‘s basically irrelevant in the scene. Nothing actually suggests the crew care that Sanji supports him or not. It‘s not like it’s the final word in the situation, nobody says “well if Sanji is agreeing with Zoro that’s it”, Zoro just keeps talking like there’s been no interruption at all.

And then in the same chapter Chopper doesn’t try to appeal to Sanji when Usopp is trying to come back. It’s only Luffy and Zoro’s opinion that matters.

All Sanji’s comment does is confirm that he thinks Zoro’s in the right. It‘s not portrayed as a turning point at all, and it’s a minor part of a chapter that is all about Luffy, Zoro and Usopp.

Rayleigh is stronger than Gaban and Zoro is (barely) stronger than CoCless Sanji. Roger couldn't fly because his wings were unbalanced, Luffy won't make the same mistake. Luffy himself, and by extension the world, needs Sanji to unlock CoC

Rayleigh and Gaban both resemble Zoro and Sanji in some of their features. The exclusive Rayleigh/Zoro and Gaban/Sanji parallels are not what CL²⁴Oda is going for

From all the posts I've seen so far, they says that Sanji will be evrything Gaban has to offer, from haki to the status of LHM

But when it comes to Zoro, nah they are wings, Ray and Gaban are wings too, but why Ray is the VC, and not Gaban?
😂😂

Don't give Kaios any ideias, let the guy play his switch 2 in peace. :risisweat:

Zoro is practically the VC the only reason he doesn’t have the official title is cause oda wants all crew mates to be equal but Zoro is the VC in every unbiased person eyes

There is not VC because Oda still hasn't created that dynamic because he's a lazy bum, but it's clear that Zori is the second in command, vice captain, whatever.
Luffy/Roger
Zori/Ray
Sanjino/WABAN
WISTA!

There is no VC because Luffy doesn't want one.

We're 1200 chapters in. There's an ocean of external material out there.

Oda has taken none of those comments to "clarify" anything because there's no need.

Luffy has a fundamentally different view of being the captain of a crew. That Strawhats don't operate like a conventional one by any means, and their hierarchy is no different. The crew members are crew members because they believe in him and want to go on adventure with him - and all of them have their personal reasons for going beside Luffy.

I don't like the Wings concept, but there's a reason why Oda went with that specific metaphor. The symbolism is clear.

Do you think Roger was ruling his crew like a dictator lol? Rayleigh was probably just the dude who took up the responsibilities like Zolo did in w7
