1. Queen is missing

4. Drake and apoo are fighting

We all knows these things. So here are the matchups and why I think sanji will fight king.

Yamato vs Jack

This should be the most obvious matchup in the story. Yamato has to gain the scabbards trust and this manga isn’t a fighting manga where there’s no plot just fights. Yamato has multiple reasons to fight Jack.

Here’s the examples

1. Yamato’s devil fruit was teased but we never saw it in action yet.

2. Yamato has to gain the trust of the samurai and the scabbards what better way to do that then save the half dead scabbards.

3 Yamato has to meet the scabbards at some point

4. Kaido beating the scabbards near death while Yamato saves the scabbards near death would show a parallel and contrast between the two characters Yamato and kaido.

Those are my reasons for Jack vs Yamato for now


Here’s my reasoning for drake and hawkins vs apoo and queen

1. Drake and apoo in the latest chapter were seen fighting which means apoo is still with the beast pirates and isn’t gonna switch sides

2. Hawkins and queen are both missing from the chapter

3. Hawkins will obviously betray the beast pirates because it was already hinted at and the fact Oda isn’t making him fight anyone proves he is not gonna stay with kaidos crew

4. Chopper is messing with queens virus and making an antidote which makes sense on why he would end up leaving to try and take out chopper because he is messing with his shit

5. Queen wants drake dead

6. If queen tries to kill chopper drake will have to fight queen but that leaves apo vs Hawkins.

7. Another reason why Hawkins vs apoo makes sense is because they were apart of the same pirate alliance and apoo betrayed him and Kidd he may also want revenge and switch sides


Chopper vs the numbers.

1. Chopper has monster point

2. We haven’t seen where the numbers are and it’s obvious they are gonna come back just like Jack eventually

3. Chopper doesn’t have a fight and this seems like the obvious fight for chopper.

4. This matchup is pretty obvious when you look at wano as a whole and everyone’s fights


And now sanji vs king

1. Sanji and king are called both respectively prince and king.

2. Sanji and king both have fire based attacks

3. Sanji and king already clashed and king wanted to kill him but didn’t get the chance

4. This arc is all about the new generation surpassing the old. When the newspapers travel the world after wano that means you won’t be hearing about Marco in the headlines it will be about sanji vs king. New gen surpassing old.

5. Marco called the straw hats the muscle.

6. Wano is the home to seastone and it’s origin. We know orochi has some sort of weapons it’s very likely a lot of them are maybe all are seastone weapons they can use to get Marco out of the fight

7. Sanji and king can both fly

8. King is a character we know nothing about his race or anything. Both king and sanji have skulls on their uniforms. Kings character is not developed yet. The only one who can give king the character development is sanji.

9. Final point. The thing about queen and Jack is they got a lot of panel time and development. Jack in zou trying to save doflamingo and multiple times in wano. Queen in udon and during the raid has been the most prevalent calamity in panel time.

This is another reason sanji will fight king. Queen and Jack already got the necessary development for Oda to give the fight to a non straw hat. King hasn’t gotten his development yet and the only way Oda can give him that development is by making him fight sanji.

We still are yet to know what king looks like his race what he was doing before kaidos crew.


So this is why
Sanji will fight king
Yamato will fight Jack
Drake will fight queen
Hawkins will fight apoo
Chopper will fight the numbers

1. Queen missing is an indicator he will fight sanji because he might be going to attack the scabbards with jack

2.Scabbards half dead means sanji will go straight to them to protect them

3. Jack moving to kill the scabbars is actually a strong indicator to why sanji will fight him because sanji wants to protect the scabbards and said in the last chapters (1005) that he will go straight to the scabbards. Which means him and jack clashing is very likely

4. Drake and Apoo , yes they are but that doesnt mean sanji will fight king

7. marco is already fighting King, Marco vs king is a match up already 95% set. They been fighting for a few chapters now.

*Reasons why he will probably fight jack or maybe queen (either not both or the two of them):

1. Both are injured so it makes them on equal footing

2. Sanjis injury wouldnt make him be able to beat either of king or queen. King is a yanko commander and arguably the strongest out of the 3 calamites , there was a big doubt sanji would have been able king full strength (honestly he wouldnt) But him in his injured state wouldnt be able to do so.

3. Marco healing would take time he cant heal someone instantly

4. King wouldnt wait for marco to heal sanji either way

5. Queen showed interest in sanji and acknowledged his father and background

6. Sanji would have struggled to even beat queen even at full strenght

7. Yamato is protecting Momo and wouldnt be able to fight a calamity while protecting him

Which leaves us with this

Sanji fighting king at his current state and beating him = 5% ( maybe there is something we dont know so i am not going to say its 0 % but its very close to being 0%)

Sanji vs queen 35%

Sanji vs jack 60%

Why the comparison? Sanji doesn't fight like Luffy. His AP has been shown to represent his forte. He turned into a defensive + stealth type with the suit. If his AP is indeed imposing actually, he needs to show that first. Invisibility should not help alone.:cheers:

For everyone saying queen is missing is fuel for sanji vs queen that’s actually false.

People forget chopper has the antidote. Queen has to get it back even though he thought it was a game now he needs to retrieve it. Drake and apoo are on that floor and hawkins is missing.


Do you seriously think that queen is going after sanji when his virus is going around and he doesn’t even have the antidote?


He’s gonna have to go get it.

As of now Sanji and King are each others foils. They're both on the opposite sides of the "Scabbard/Momo plotline". Oda has been building a relationship between Sanji and the scarbbards since Punk Hazard. He then has been expanding on the importance of them during Onnigashma arc.

- Sanji ditching Nami, leaving her with Usopp to handle P1 and Ulti. so he can go to Kinemon
- Sanji asking for Robin's help immediately to save him from BM, so he can go to Kinemon

Doing things such as this, goes to show how important Kinemon is for Sanji. And this isnt the first time Kinemon has played such an important role for Sanji. Sanji led the " Finding Kinemon's torso" group back in PH, he risked Nami's body for Kinemon. So with all of that we can see, Kinemon is an important part of Sanji's fight against the Beast Pirate.

As of now, the threat to Kinemon is Jack and King. Not Queen.

The reaching is nuts. Oh these characters have similarities so they gonna fight each other?
No one was saying Robin would fight BM because they both have vaginas but because it was set up.
Sanji vs King has no set up unlike Sanji vs Queen or vs Jack apart the part where King made Sanji beg for his life and left him thinking he was koed.

Sanji did less damage to Page One in the raid suit than Luffy did in one casual attack in Gear 3 and has struggled mightily in the New World, making it nonsensical for him to solo a YC1. On top of that, Jack is heading to kill the scabbards. Sanji had a visceral reaction to hearing that last chapter, and then Sanji confirmed in this chapter that he’s headed to Kinemon to help.

Are we really doing this dumb shit?

Ain't happening... King is busy with Marco, Apoo still fighting X Drake , only Queen and Jack are available for Sanji. The Judge - Queen's connections need to be elaborated.. If the tenth person it's Komurasaki then Oda wouldnt resist to draw Queen and Hiyori interactions.
Plus if Jack was able to hear the Scabbards locations along with Black Maria.. No doubt Queen could have heard it too.

Sanji vs king has a lot of set up that I already named. Sanji vs queen only has one line of set up
