I'm not trying to be funny, but do you read the manga. Hardening is not the same for everyone.
Zoro's haki clash against Pica's haki explained to us not everybody's haki is equal and when 2 haki clash, if one haki is stronger than the other the stronger one wins the clash.
Based on those facts, how hard and sturdy an object coated in haki is, is determined by the strength of the user and their haki. A stronger haki creates a stronger and harder coated objects.
A normal ungraded black blade won't get annihilated by a supreme grade blade just because it's a supreme grade blade. Not only did Mihawk tell Zoro his sword wouldn't broken Zoro's swords if coated in haki, he also told him that he should treat every nick his sword received as a mark of shame. He didn't say he should treat it as a mark of shame unless it comes from a top tier supreme grade blade.
You might have a hard time accepting this, but the blade user haki strength is more important than the blade grade.
The reason black blades are beyond hardened haki it's because it's much harder to achieve. Black blades are determined by the strength of the swordsman. So far there are only two known black blades.
I'm not saying there's a magical grade in between grades. I'm saying blacksmith are the ones you create blades and rank blades in the grade blade system. While swordsman create black blades that doesn't effect the blade grade system. That's why if you turn a excellent grade blade into a black blade it remains an excellent great blade. It just becomes an excellent grade black blade. The black blade is the new rank.
I'm not wanking Mihawk, it's you who are downplaying Mihawk. Now you are claiming Mihawk has a great grade blade that he turned into a supreme great blade. Nowhere in the mangs does it say or even suggest that.
Earlier, someone asked you what happens if you turn a supreme great blade into a black blade and you said a new rank would be created.
Now, you are making stuff up. Earlier you told me there's only four ranks and now you're telling me there will be five. You can make up ranks but I can't.
