Character Discussion Why some fans assume that Yamato uses Haki?

Yamato is a Haki user?

First, ofc Yamato can use Haki lol. Any fodder uses it in NW.
Second, people mistook the shockwave for Advanced Haki. The probability of being a simple shockwave is much greater than that being an Advanced Haki hit since the examples we have of this Haki is the user throwing it some centimeters from him/her.
And third, BM is the daughter of normal humans and her body is abnormal. So we can't know for sure why Yamato tanked that "without damage", it might be invisible CoA as well. And Momo won't know how to distinguish this I think.

I never considered the option of that ranged attack launched from a blunt melee weapon just being a shockwave, but with the newly introduced level of haki happening right before her introduction, her impressive bloodline and attack power as well as fending off an impatient Luffy it seems likely that it’s just because she’s an adept user of CoA

Wouldn't it be weird if she doesn't have it? I mean she has grown in wano where Haki is a common shit arround there, especially CoA. Wont be even surprised if she has Ryou as well
Yes Wano is the land of Ryou, the land with most CoA users in the world if we take the Kuja away from the equation, but even then it's just a matter of ratio and not actual numbers.

Also someone like her needs to survive and doesn't live a normal life at all, this grew also why she is so powerful I think.

Some non fodders doesn't have one though... Some above average characters doesn't seem have one (Kyros, Hina, mid tier SHs, Killer, Bepo, Carrot, Wanda, Inu Musketeers) while near fodder/average tiers do (Shirahoshi, Momo, Rebecca, Tashigi, Helmeppo, Batman)...

Not really, I feel she can use both but then I want to see confirmation first... I think she didn't use it against Sasaki and friends just like how Kaido didn't use it to tank Luffy's attacks...

Uh, Ryuo is the Wano name of CoA, similar to Mantra for CoO by Skypiea...

Kyros has CoO, he was the one who taught Rebecca.
Hina ofc should have since marine fodders have.
Killer ofc has lmao.
Bepo is a Mink so there is no need. They are already like gyojins, superhumans from the start, they are basically Zoans + the electricity stuff. And they have the sulong mode too. They don't need to focus on Haki to grow stronger.
Shirahoshi has? I remember her mother has CoO, but not her.
Momo doesn't have Haki. If you mean the thing about Zunisha, that's about the voice of all things which is not Haki for what we know now. It's something else.
Tashigi ofc, since marine fodders have, same for Helmeppo.
Batman didn't show in manga for what I remember. Though if he has, it won't be a problem since navy soldiers have like I said 435314 times xd.

Vivre Card Dictionary states that Kyros has no Haki... I find that weird though, given that Rebecca can use CoO and that he cut through Diamante's CoA-coated umbrella (though I'm aware that it's possible for non-CoA users to defeat CoA users but coating is one thing)...
Yes, Hina and Killer has to... But there are no supporting confirmations so far...
Being a mink doesn't mean that they don't need one, same with the fishmen... Look at Jinbe, Jack, Kawamatsu, Inu, Neko, Pekoms and Pedro (some of them confirmed via Vivre Card Dictionary) who can use both...
Shirahoshi and Momo having CoO are confirmed via Vivre Card Dictionary...
Batman's CoA was only shown in the anime but I think there are guidelines given by Oda about where to give a certain ability...

If she is using haki she is using at best level 1 of adv CoA because she couldn't get rid of her handcuffs by herself.
There should be no reason for her not to be able to use haki though. She is obviously strong and I doubt kaido's daughter can't use haki at all. She had some good training from what we can see.

Vivrecards are not absolute stuff, same for other any databooks.
Manga and facts from manga > anything else

Diamante actually didn't show Haki. We can assume he used it. But his ability turns things into flags and he can give them different forms, so that umbrella maybe was a steel wall (or some hard thing) which he transformed.

Marines fodders have, so Hina will have too. Same for Killer lol.

They don't need cause they have other means to enhance their power. Their potential is higher than humans already, so there is no need for learning Haki. Scabbards trained in Wano and all stuff where Haki is something more common, it makes sense. Jack actually didn't show Haki and you assumed he has unlike with Killer...

Shirahoshi didn't show any CoO for what I remember, so it doesn't matter what VC says, same with Momo.
