Speculations Why the story had Yamato stay in Wano instead of going with the Straw Hats.

I think that seeing as how Yamato doesn't have her own identity and doesn't have greater purpose to go with Luffy right now, I don't doubt Yamato is being put in Wano as a sort of test to see how content she is in trying to be like Oden in Wano while Luffy and the others are having fun elsewhere, and have her think about things over again that will finally lead to her traveling with the crew, as herself, which Momo may be the catalyst for since they're both interested in lore like Joy Boy.

I get the feeling the next arc will give her enough time for her choice of being Oden in Wano to really sink in and deal with any insecurities she has, revealing what she really takes pride in beyond being Oden. Yamato didn't really have a "Shanks" in her life either, since it seems that she never met with Oden despite admiring him. So Momo might be built up to be the "Shanks" in Yamato's life, one she can share a dream/common interest with, which might be opening Wano's borders like Oden wanted, and be the catalyst which finally encourages Yamato to sail out with greater purpose and find the answers they seek about the borders and maybe Pluton, justifying going to Laugh Tale with Luffy.

Hiyori persecuting Kurozumi children may play into an interesting character conflict with Yamato as well, to see Oden's daughter mistreating children for being of a certain background.
yep,she is in a similar situation to Jinbe before joining. She needs to sort herself out before joining. She will find the strawhats by riding Momonosuke alongside Kinemon. That would make a nice panel.

Thre is nothing going to come of the Kurozumi shit… The Wano arc is over… The next time we see Wano will be to collect pluton and go to the final war

Because fans hate her.

And they are right.
Don't mistake the opinions of niche corners of the fanbase like this one with the general consensus. The fandom loves Yamato, and I'm sure his team loves her too - she's probably smashing those merch sales.

I can actually picture Oda's team being furious at him for not making her a Strawhat. All that potential merch, gone.

Yeah, that's another detail I notice, of Luffy's crewmates refusing/opposing him in some way at some point in their lives, so ironically her refusing Luffy still gave me a Straw Hat vibe.

I'm willing to bet we'll see Wano before that. Caribou is clealry interested in joining Blackbeard. Luffy wouldn't collect the Ancien Weapons. Teahc will. Three ancient weapons, three devil fruits possibly, it's a fitting theme. He also has the perfect devil fruit to tear down the walls of Wano with the Gura Gura no Mi.

Of coruse we also ought to take into consideration Luffy never even invited her in the crew to begin with so her situation isn't like any of the previous Strawhats.

That’s what I said, the only thing left in Wano is pluton. There’s no plot point in regards to the Kurozumi stuff. It’s just a random thing that happened this arc that won’t matter again

Come on, it's obvious that Jinbe didn't join on FMI because he was stronger than Sanji at the time. Apparently Luffy, Zoro and Sanji always have to be the three strongest. It's the same with Yamato. The difference is that Oda didn't even bother with the excuse anymore. Even if Yamato still joins in the final arc, it won't be the same as with Jinbe, who will now adventure with the Straw Hats.

She will have some cover stories, and she will be the one who will bring Pluton from Wano to the place where the final battle will happen. Momo will probably go with her too.
I dunno about Momo himself, but I can him at least encouraging Yamato along as her catalyst. Was never even keen on the excuse that Yamato has to be "worse" than Zoro and Sanji to join, because it just makes Zoro and Sanji look bad as the ones to blame for Yamato not joining, as well as having a "smelly air of snobby superiority", but having Yamato learn to be herself and gain more purpose in being encouraged to go out of Wano with greater purpose sounds more compelling if you ask me.

Multiple reasons.

She needs to find her identity + she is probably stronger or equal to Sanji so hard for Oda who loves his wings shit and M3.

Seeing @stealthblack latest thread may be related to coc users in Luffy's crew also. Zoro and luffy are more than enough.
