That's why I say at most Killer only experienced a minor inconvenience with having his weapon of choice taken away.

Maybe he could do a move or two with those that he couldn't with the scythes? Maybe he wouldn't have need to give up his weapon since they are attached in a different way?

But that's really just speculation.
