Questions & Mysteries Why was Xebec at the Reverie ?

#22
Seeing the throne is a strong enough reason we see that In the manga.

Also why else would an Admiral be there? They’re not stationed at the reverie
Seeing a throne he already knew about can’t be the real reason he decided to go against everyone and break all the world’s taboos. It’s way more likely he stumbled upon some hidden truth and realized he could turn the world upside down for his own gain.
The admiral’s death was probably just collateral damage. After killing him, Xebec fled. If the admiral tried to stop him, it means Xebec had already done some serious damage.
I don’t think killing a random admiral was his goal.

Anyway, we know admirals are stationed in the Holy Land during Reverie to handle any issues. We’ve seen that with Fujitora and Ryokugyu.

Why would an admiral be collateral? Admirals aren’t stationed at the reverie. Fujitora was there unauthorized and Ryo was there to tell Fuji to leave. Neither were there to work the reverie.

True, but that doesn’t change the fact that an admiral was there. And it’s always their job to step in if something happens. We’ve seen that with Sakazuki and Kuma too.
If an admiral got involved, it means Xebec was a threat. It doesn’t make sense to think Xebec just killed an admiral in a moment of madness and ran away for no reason.

Maybe he was the king of Hachinosu before Wang Zhi,who maybe inherited the island from his Captain after Rocks's death (and the island was banned by World Government after Xebec killed the Admiral). But Teach believed it belonged to him since he is his son,and thats why he took it

A former king. Possibly disgraced CD.
He could've been a king, but no way he was a CD... we need to keep in mind that he was a D after all.

(Yeah, I know that the Nefertaris were D's and didn't reveal this to anyone, but that must've been the reason that they didn't want to live in Mary Geoise. D's can't really connect to the CDs, they're like water and oil.)

How does Rocks even being a former king make sense? He was erased from the history books, but his kingdom would surely remember it. Unless his Kingdom was also wiped out, it doesn´t make sense

All the WG needs to do is say “X never existed” and they’ll make sure that’s the case. Plus the communication among the islands is minimal at best. Even a WG approved kingdom is deemed as mythical in the verse

He didn’t kill a Celestial Dragon at the Reverie, and there has to be some kind of justification for his ambitions. Something must’ve happened during that Reverie that changed everything for him. Also, everyone knows about the Empty Throne, it’s not some hidden secret you need to discover or see in person.
Harald’s wording when he said he’d be caught if the admiral wasn’t killed sounds like the admiral saw something was off about Rocks hiding something and decided to check him out.

So Rocks took him down so Harald wouldn’t get exposed.
