Powers & Abilities Why was Zoro so weak in the East Blue?

#43
This is why I keep telling people Zoro is not talented. He is just a guy who works very hard (making minimal progress). Zoro was trained by legendary samurai and the best he could be was be at level with a cook/part time fighter. He then gets trained by the so called WGS but he is still at the same level with a guy who spent the entire timeskip learning how to cook and running from gay men.

Zoro as a kid had a one track mind. He was all about physical strength and just cutting things really hard. That translated to monstrous physical strength, unrivaled in the East Blue outside Luffy. This is why he likely didn't try to learn more about haki from Koshiro.

Koshiro was also teaching a dojo. Even though Zoro was better than all the kids, he isn't gonna get special treatment where he learns more advanced techniques. His field of knowledge was mostly limited to what his peers were learning. If he wanted to learn more, he'd visit Koshiro on his own time, which again, he didn't think too much on what Koshiro was telling him at the time.

Zoro needed a handicap for every one of his fights in East Blue, how is that weak? XD

Stabbed by Buggy for the Cabaji fight
Two against one against Sham and Butchie and theyw ere fodder once he got his 3 swords back
wounds from Mihawk against Hachi

Zoro was anything but weak.
He was everything but strong.

Also he could low diff Pica, a guy of the same rank as Vergo who is comparable with PO.

And that was his base £ no training
