Chapter Discussion Why Whitebeard didn't avenge Oden?

#41
That's fucking bullshit. There is no way news didn't spread around the world that Kaido took over Wano.

+ Another bullshit thing. "Sacrifices" Lmaoooo. It's not like he sacrificed his entire fleet for a suicide mission to save Ace. People will argue uhg ogh Ace was alive. Everyone with 80 IQ would understand that Whitebeard Pirates would be finished after that war even if they win.

Wano aKa isolated country.

Neko sailing goes brrrrrrrrr

Marco flying in with ease goes brrrrrrr

Oda literally fucked this situation. There is no rational explanation why WB never checked why Kaido is currently on Wano with his forces.
So you are agreeing with my points then why the fuck are you quoting me then :kaidowhat::kaidowhat:

Dude ace was as good as dead....its not like WB had a secret escape plan.....how could WB think they can defeat admirals plus sengoku plus garp plus schibukai...he should know well what they are capable of.... if it wasn't for luffy ace would have died...much sooner

Rescuing ace was a sucide mission
And Whitebeard still did it all for family.

WBs powers aren't suited for saving, unleashing the gura gura no mi on Wano would have killed countless civilians, it nerfed him enough worrying about the super durable Ace at marineford and so limiting his fruit usage somewhat.

But yeah Ace was the biological son of one of his closest friends, his adopted son, the man he wanted to make pirate king.
The WG were doing this specifically to bait WB, keeping him alive long enough.
Kaido just fought Oden and won, WB would be too late to save Oden, it's not like he wanted to risk even fighting BB to avenge Thatch.

Well the fight wouldn't take place at wano but in the waterfall region..........so no casualties imo.............plus WB could have sent a spy seeing how kaido always recuits strong people...........kaido was going out for expeditions.........he could be intercepted then........

The fight takes place where Kaido wants it.
He can fly and has widescale Boro breath he can use to fuck up Wano as he fights WB, while WB having himself nerfed.

But why he would destroy his own factories which profits him........he didn't do that during his fight with oden too.......and even then the fact remains that WB could intercept kaido during one of his expeditions..........

People don't have any problem that Luffy doesn't care on taking revenge on Akainu for killing Ace and just decide to continue his journey... But Whitebeard not taking revenge on Kaido apparently is a huge problem... He didn't even wanted to take revenge on Blackbeard for killing Thatch.

It's just pointless for Whitebeard to go on a full out war on Wano. Because:
-He no longer can save Oden;

-He is not interested on becoming the Pirate King and defeating the Yonkos

-He doesn't want to reach Laugh Tale so he doesn't care about the Poneglyphs

-He would put the lives of his children just for the sake of revenge. It's even possible that half of his crew and allies didn't even meet Oden basically risking their lives for someone that they don't even knew and his already dead.

-Putting the lives of all of Wano citizens at risk

Luffy has beef with Akainu

Whitebeard appeared to be very composed and pragmatic at times. He made a very clear distinction between a lost cause and a probable one.

For example, at Marineford, even if he knew he would lose, he was planning on sacrificing only himself (naive or arrogant, take your pick). But the probability of success was there however slim.

On the other hand, there was nothing to gain from avenging a dead guy. Not only that, Oden's legacy would get dirtied by destroying Wano. Even though he would have won the war, there were no chances of Oden coming back to life.

Squard was right all along
Not entirely right, perhaps the world goverment change entirely fhe story to make whitebeard look like the bad guy, but what are whitebeard doing a
Oden wasn't Whitebeard's son, he was more like a partner. Whitebeard would risk his life for a son, but not someone he viewed as an equal. (Not combat wise obviously).

Whitebeard was also near the end of his lifespan at Marineford.
But whitebeard saw oden as his brother, in my opinnion he saw oden as a brother a family. I think one of the reasons why he didnt save oden its because of the risk it would have of people dying
Imo Oda messed a bit with this stuff. I mean first we have Marco gave that message to Neko for Luffy then it is simply resolved in nothing to make Marco suddenly join then there is this other weird turn where WB, who was the WSM, went against the WG to free Ace and actually the one scared was the navy but now Oda instead forget that in order to not let WB come to Wano. He builded all this arc with Oden and some of the new points he made just couldn't fit well with the old ones so he tried to fit the old and the new but of course problems like this occurred (it is like woth the nonsense powerlevel jump Croco had from Alabasta to Impel down/Marineford, the only fitting explanation would have been that Impel down was a better training point than even Udon, the bigger the prison the best your training).
Theres two reason why i think marco went to wano.
1. He entrusted the other whitebeard pirates to defend whitebeard’s place
2. He learned about oden’s story after he gave those speech that he cant go with nekomamushi.

thats true that whitebeard power’s isnt suited for such thing but remember they fought the full force of the navy, you cant go by yourself on that situation. If he does went solo on his prime yes he could but remember theyve been outsmarted by the navy many times, even tho things didnt went well for the navy’s plans that time still they were outsmarted.
