in·tu·i·tion
/ˌinto͞oˈiSH(ə)n,ˌintəˈwiSH(ə)n/
noun
the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning.
Roronoa Zoro has the remarkable ability to read people without knowing much about them, Oda does not often point it out. But he does in fact show that Zoro's intuition is Top Tier. There are multiple occasions of Zoro quickly exposing who people really are in the story.
Lets Begin....
1. "What were you thinking"
Zoro without knowing much about Nami's situation was able to see through Nami's BS in from Arlong Park , he called her bluff by jumping in the water with his hands tied and he had complete faith Nami would save him. This is how intuitive Zoro is... he knew Nami was not being genuine in front Arlong and his thugs and bet his life on it.
2. "She's hiding something"
Zoro read O-kiku rather quickly, after a couple chapters of observing and fighting a long with Kiku Zoro says
"She's hiding something" 3 words that essentially sum up Kiku as a character.....
A character often seen hiding her identity in multiple occasions throughout the arc.
Zoro knew what Kiku was hiding and respected Kiku as a samurai hence why he was so upset when he saw Kiku's arm.
3. "Where You Stand"
Zoro saw through X Drake as well, X Drake was a member of Sword, an entity were still not sure will be a foe or an ally in the future. Story is implying they'll be allies but you can never be sure.
And while Zoro could see X Drake was an honest person he was able to tell Drake was leaving out details for a reason, that it was more than just Drake being kicked out of the beast pirates. Hence the " your still hiding where you stand" line.
4."Sorry"
When Zoro and Kaku first meet its a bit comedic with Zoro assuming Kaku to be Usopp only to soon realize its not. Kaku inspects the ship and Zoro questions Kaku about the Kaku's inspection. Zoro would ask Kaku again after Kaku is revealed to be cp9 and Kaku tells Zoro it was an honest opinion of Kaku. Notice how Zoro never calls Kaku a liar for this.
Zoro and Kaku would fight again at Enies Lobby, Zoro would defeat Kaku and relay the infamous "Your Fired" message to Kaku.
In the End Zoro tells Kaku "Sorry" because he knows deep down Kaku is a good person. Aside from their abilities Zoro and Kaku didn't know much about each other and yet Zoro could tell Kaku was good dude. Kaku would be the first and only opponent Zoro would say sorry too.
Which is why Zoro even now has a soft spot for Kaku today. And why we see in the recent chapter he wouldn't let him die knocked out in handcuffs.
Zoro's intuitive nature has proven to be very accurate, it truly is a gift.
Which brings us to the end.......
5. "I don't trust that woman"
It really makes you think about what Zoro said earlier on in Egghead
and the current traitor situation.......
Sometimes the answers your looking for are right in front of you the whole time.
Leave Your Thoughts.....
