Character Discussion Why Zoro is a horrible character

Zoro isn't a very complicated character and he doesn't need to be tbh. I agree with some of your points but disagree with a lot. He's kind of like the perfect character in a manga- strong, badass, loyal and hard working with almost 0 flaws. I personally am not a big fan of such 'perfect' characters, especially when they provide little comedic relief (though I used to be when Zoro was my favorite character long ago). But most people like such characters so there's no harm in it, at least from a money making perspective.

He's still a top 3 or top 4 straw hat for me and will probably always be. In short, yeah, Oda can do a better job but he's a good character for the most part, at least at what he's meant to be. I would like him a lot better if he had any major flaw as a character like some others which could be resolved later or at any point in the story. He never had one iirc.

Talking about someone who thought marriage is some edible thing or can't function outside of fights. At least Luffy knows how his world works and what he needs to do to achieve his dream.
its just what goku knows he actually believed that.. compare that to luffy's stupidity in understanding.. and using common sense in addition to how slow he is.

Goku still uses his brain to some extent.. but luffy... may allah guide him

Mr oda apologist can’t give me a break to express opinion, can you ?

that is the card you oda defense warriors always use when someone doesn’t agree with oda’s trash.
I am exposing him and I won’t shut up.
Lol expose him? What did he do? Write his OWN story the way he wants? And you always go “Oda apologist” when you don’t like what fans think of the story. You are just embarrassing yourself mate nothing else.

Don't worry, Luffy actually knows what he's doing and what needs to be done. The guy is pretty close to achieving his dream, although you might have forget that It was him who pointed out vivi naive nature and how her views on war are wrong, or how udon prisoners are slaves, dealing with Pedro death instantly and commanding his crew without a delay to survive. You are showing one scene of Luffy understanding something late as if you have never witnessed someone irl understanding a joke little late lol.

sure Luffy ain't booksmart...but he knows his surroundings, actually is not dreamy or hopeful type who think talk no jutsu can work on his enemies.

yea true i agree with but thats in certain situations he knows what's right and how to interpret things its his pure philosophy and comprehension... just like u said about vivi he knew what was wrong with her approach.. with sanji and pedro too.. but thats very circumstantial, we know that typical he'd actually act idiotic... MY GUY CAN'T EVEN PROCESS COLD UNTIL SOMEONE TELLS HIM TOO..

i never claimed that luffy is a air head in general.. i even went on to provide the nuances and wisdom that one gets from him and how he'd have a logical and morally adept upper hand in cases..

but that's the variation that makes him unique.. he'd have moments that ludicrously dumb in a humourous way but when it comes down to and if the circumstances permit it he gets wise... THATs MONKEY D. LUFFY FOR YA

I would like to know your opinion or arguments instead of this useless comment. It’s not a hating thread but my thoughts about his character...a wasted potential for greed.
Pre-timeskip Zoro is 11/10. Post Zoro is 7/10. He's not your typical Vegeta, Sasuke, or Bakugo. He have his own charm and uniqueness. His loyalty and respect is what makes him stand out the most among the Strawhats. And he doesn't get blind for his lack of judgement because he's a swordsman. He's strong and care about his crew.
