Character Discussion Will Eustass Kid become a Great Pirate after Wano?

Not so sure why Kidd is relentlessly portrayed to not just fight off Luffy, but become his sworn opponent. They are both part of the new gen, both D. and CoC possessors, but Oda is yet not portraying the two to stand on equal foot thus far. This aspect is not really ancillary, this is why Zoro is instead being portrayed that way. So we shall see if these expectations about Kidd shall ever live up to their potential.
Who has the dude really lost to outside of High caliber characters and above?
Many people kept saying that Sabaody meant nothing and Kid would be nothing more than a side character as the series progresses, and yet here we are with him on the rooftop alongside his first mate, who people also downplayed into oblivion and ignored the obvious parallels between those two and Luffy and Zoro.
It's more so people can't fathom the thought of other characters growing in strength to rival their favorite character, because their character must have no rivals. At the end of the day though Kid and Killer are going to be up at the top before EoS, with them gaining major notoriety in this upcoming battle.

Any major character who also happens to be a pirate should be considered like that in my opinion. By major I want to intend it not just power levels wise, but mostly based off total accomplishments.
Not every Supernova may be characterizable as a great pirate for example, but that's entirely subjective, in that there's no official standardized rule that deems who is one and who is not.
The likes of Kidd and Law should be labeled as great pirates in my opinion, since they stand amongst the top of the new generation.

Of course he'll become a great pirate. All the 5 who are on the rooftop will and Kidd happens to be one of the leaders
But a lot of people hate him to much and deny it, they'll soffer some delusion post Wano
