Questions & Mysteries Will Kaido have a flashback?

Honestly in hindsight, people expected way too much from villain flashbacks. It never was this major thing Pre-TS (save for like a 2 page FB for Lucci). It only started with Fishman island and it wasnt even about Hody.
- Doflamingo's does more than be a FB for him, it shows how the rest of the world reacts to CDs, regardless of their good/bad intentions.
- BMs did more than show us her past. It also explained how the Marines got Giants in their marine unit, as well as characterized some of Elbaf.
Kaido's fundamentally does nothing at this point (im sure it could have been used to describe Oni a bit more for siure, but even Kaido wasnt characterized as knowing where he came from) and its clear Oda wants to hide Rocks stuff for later.
I wouldnt even expect these big, deep FBs from the Admirals and the like, unless it serves the plot. Kuma is 100% getting one because what hes going through is a longstanding mystery, added onto the fact that Bonney is wanted by the govt for some reason. Blackbeard and Shanks certainly have more potential because they inherently seem tied to Rocks in some way. But even then, its not guaranteed.

Seriously though, we learned nothing about Onis, didnt see any during Kaidos FB and thus how he is related to Oars and Jr too?
I believe (my own theory I mean) there's a frozen realm (Niflheim inspired) of Elbaf where Oni could originate from but I'm not very hopeful for that idea happening.
Kaido was mentioned to have a fave island which was a winter one too. Oars died freezing to death in a brutally cold country of villains or w/e too.
We also learned nothing about the true name of Onigashima too.
Even though Kaido had a bunch of Ancient Zoans too, not a single awakening from them either and thus for an AZ so far too. Drake is my last hope in that regard now too.

PLUS, he actually killed off Kaido (presumably) when Oda himself is so deathphobic!
Hell, he was probably so pissed, thats the real reason he gave us Goofy Luffy to revenge humiliate Kaido before actually letting Luffy murder him brutally and thus actually killing him! Like HOLY FUCK Oda, you peaked in your sadism now!
I even joked Jack, Smoothie, Carrots, Yamatos, Zoros VAs all slept with her which is why Oda was so petty towards those characters too!

Tbf characterization aside Zoro wasn't assassinated like everyone else here. We got plently to be proud of as Zoro fans in Wano feats wise, Zoro outperformed Kid and Law on the roof, perma scarring Kaido, AdvCoC. We ate good.
Meanwhile Carrot gets completely abandoned right from the beginning and is denied her big moment against Perospero.
Jack does not nothing but gets off screened never getting a named attack.
Smoothie never beat the door allegations
Yamato wasted everyone's time and ate away panel spacing for characters who actually matter to the story.
Compared to all of these people, I wouldn't put Zoro in the same boat.

He was assassinated in character development, Oda gave him the love in feats and fights but that was it. Considering this should have been the MOST important arc for Zoro as a character, much like WCI for Sanji and given that was the major arc before this one too, its just honestly disgraceful on Oda's part.
Especially with the Ushimaru and Ryuuma cockteasing, Zoro making false promises, never shown returning Shisui to Ryuumas grave directly and thus visiting it and so on.
Zoro is MUCH more to me than just a hype tool and feat magnet, he always has been and I will always hold him to those high standards because Oda set him to such high standards and wrote him so amazingly well pre TS. Now like other SHs, hes become a walking flanderisation of what he is.
In feats/strength wise yes, but at least Jack still had some sort of impressive feats to be fair before Oda called the Clown Buster Call on him too.
Zoro is in the same boat to me as Kaido and those characters but its MUCH worse for him and than even Kaido, as Kaido had 14 years of build up (since Thriller Bark at least) whereas Zoro has been there from the beginning 25 years ago now.
I cannot overlook nor forgive Oda for this, especially when he gives so much love to 1 character in each faction/category but snubs the other character so much and just gives them hype feats, nothing more.
See Sanji vs Zoro, Big Mom vs Kaido, Law vs Kidd and so on.
Some Zoro fans might be satisfied with just powerscaling/feats/strength stuff but not me and all the fair play to them. But I care far too much for Zoro for a character to not to be absolutely disgusted and disappointed with how Oda is handling him, especially that farce of an arc called Wano.
On an upside, I did enjoy the rival parallel dyamic he and King had to Luffy and Kaido too. It felt like how Ace saw Whitebeard too. "I will make him the pirate king". That was great. I wish we had more of their fight and more of a storyline around that, more about King especially and maybe more about Zoros past during that fight or maybe some offscreen moments of him talking to Luffy during their journey so far.

Oda even doubled down on Yamatos identity crisis and had her suddenly reject joining the crew at the last minute. Sure I can understand her reasons with Kaido gone and Green Bull showing up and such, what could happen BUT all Wano had to do was declare itself a territory of the now officially a YONKO Luffy and that would be it! Problem solved!
People dont go into Yonko territories blindly and the Marines themselves are against it for good reasons and need permission to go after Yonkos from the WG anyway too!

Agreed. Zoros feats and power looked awesome in wano, but Oda really couldve done this any arc and it would’ve worked fine. Did he have to dicktease so much possible character development or character moments for Zoro then say lol no? That one felt personal…
