Y’all ever heard of the Chekhov’s gun ideology? That if you introduce a weapon in Act 1, you’ve gotta use it by Act 3? It may take a while to get there, but Law is seemingly hurtling towards this very conclusion, and Wano seems as appropriate a setting for his last stand as any.

Believe me, I don’t want this to come to pass...Law has been a great addition to the story, and I’ve enjoyed his interactions with the SHP immensely. Wish there were other options for how his tale will end, but I don’t see any way out of what Oda’s told us :pepemotion::pepemy:
I can't think of a sadder way to die than to give your life for somebody. He will probably be on the brink of death, and THEN use it. Since he is a doctor, he will very well recognize when he is not going to recover anymore.

If this is another Ace scenario, I just can't :pepemotion:

Maybe this technique has been introduced only to explain how a character that is already immortal (like Imu, for example) gained that ability. Law doesn’t have to use it for this technique to be relevant in the story.

Besides, I doubt Oda will make Luffy immortal in any shape or form.
