They were right. FMAB had a mid ending. The original anime ending was far more on the ball with the central theme of the series.

That’s the point is that Edward had to learn the lesson One is All and All is One. He learned the idea of it as a child but not the truth behind the truth.

I think Zenzu misses that the whole equivalent exchange thing is a vehicle to hammer consequences of Ed and Al missing the point. It is not the theme of the story itself
