I believe the ability to project your will like Asura is a hint of what the peak of CoC looks like. Non devil fruit top tiers need something to equalize awakening and I believe Mihawk, Shanks,Rodger and Garp have reached and perfected it and it allows them to keep up with people with both CoC and Devil fruits.
Shanks projection of will would probably be based of Norse mythology possibly Tyr due to the whole feeding a hand/arm to a beast.
Mihawk could either be something from Christianity or Vampires considering his aesthetic
Garb and Roger are tough because as far as I know they aren't tied to any mythology, so maybe some of you have ideas
Zoro is Buddhism so Asura
