Pre timeskip Van Augur no scoped Ace and if he wasn't a logia he would have died right then and there, post time skip Van Augur has probably gotten faster and now he has haki so a person would need to react faster than a bullet to beat him but then again this is Oda real life physics don't apply here only biases
