If you can't tell the difference between being the strongest at anything and finding Laugh Tale you shouldn't waste your time with reading this series.

One is changeable and not stable, we've seen Oda clearly doesn't care about the titles or hypes, and anything is possible in a fight. While you find Laugh Tale, no one can take it from you again. Even if another person finds it again. One is a feat, other is a hype.

Feat is beating someone. Zoro wants the title, he wants the hype. He doesn't care who he beats as long as he achieves his goal. Mihawk doesn't need to be that person specifically, another person can have that title/hype and Zoro can beat that person.

Why do you keep saying “just like in real life” as if theres anything like WSS in real life

Im talking about what Oda intends. Does Oda intend us to say it matters what extra abilties people have?

for example, If Pica BEAT Zoro. If Pica and Zoro fought without Pica using his ahilities and then Zoro pressed him but then Pica activated his golem and Beat Zoro plain and simple and the arc ended.

Are you saying there is a way for Oda to write it that “Zoro achieved his goal of proving hes a better swordsman so he didnt have to actually beat Pica wholesale as long as he can beat him in a regular sword clash”

Are you saying such a situation is possible? That in Oda’s mind, he gives King Shiryu Law Fujitora Cracker Smoothie Big mom ALL these extra abilties while keeping in mind that for some reason were Zoro to fight any of thse people (and he will fight some) that its actually allowed for Zoro to lose as long as he showed some vague superirority in base swprd clashes?

what im asking is will Zoro ever lose to a swordsman inbthe series and then Oda tells us somehow that it doeent matter as long as Zoro could clash when the swordsman decided not to go all out?
"If" Zoro ever lose to a swordsman in the series? Kizaru has beaten Zoro without using his light sword, meaning Kizaru is a swordsman.

There is a WSS in real-life if you make a competition about them, just like the WSS doesn't mean the strongest fighter.

They are swordsman all the time they dont stop being swordsman

  1. Mr.1 uses Devil Fruit instead of Sword & yet Zoro called him Swordsman
  2. Hyouzou is Strongest Swordsman in Fishmen Island & yet he uses Poison
  3. Ohm had a Dog to help him & his weapon change Form & he used Traps & yet he is a Swordsman

Zoro's trump card is yet unexplained Demon technique
They don't stop being a swordsman, but if their abilities isnt limited to being a swordsman, then they status as a swordsman still not equal as their status as a fighter. Which is why WSM differs and > WSS even if WB use a long-hitled sword called bisento and he beats anyone swords or not.

What does Kizaru have to do with this?

i asked Can oda somehow convince the readers that Zoro is a better swordsman than a person he lost to just because that pwrson has extra abilities?

did you get the impression that Zoro is a better swordsman than Kizaru? No. Because Zoro lost.

A bisento isn't a sword

We just need Oda to confirm Roger as a pure swordsman then EoS Zoro > Roger can become a thing
Hopefully

I don't feel like Oda would label Roger as a man who wasn't a swordsman, or even have Zoro simply surpass Mihawk without going deeper than that and aim at Prime Ryuma's level (assuming he stood beyond) or Roger's.

It's speculation but a nicely calculated one.

We dont need anything. Roger is a swordsman. That has sealed his fate in comparison to Zoro.
Nope. old viz had kid zoro say "strongest swordsman ever", but some translators here have confirmed "ever" is not part of the raws and stephen paul also doesnt translate it as such.

its yet to see whether oda wants zoro to become the strongest swordsman of all time or only of his lifetime.

Which one do you think it is?
Is Oda making Zoro into someone that will be in shadow of another swordsman? :myman:
