What are One Piece characters, devil fruits, crews, power and other events and fights which were teased and hyped very much and/or had the potential be super epic or at least to be really interesting, only for them to turn out to be just dull or super disappointing in the manga with very poor execution, disappointing characterization and/or powers or grievous neglect or abandoment of said characters or powers or storylines?

Well. First of all, bounty hunters a well known complain of community could have a much bigger role.
Then the abundance of Devil Fruit users we are seeing today could have being better explained. At least I don't remember anything like that. Like showing the big players, Yonko and Marines, at black market buying Devil Fruits. Maybe Devil Fruit hunters. And stuff like that.
Talking about characters I think Gin is the most requested one to return. Such a great character. Would be nice to see how Krieg changed after his defeat.
Foxy crew would be nice to see a return and something outstanding like he got 8000 just doing his games or lost everyone and now they are 5 or something.
Weaponized Devil Fruits could be more common. Maybe a whole Marine squad specialized on it.
Urougue definitely needs to be better used.
Would be nice to have a Doriki update.
Dials from Skypea could have a bigger whole as Usopp fight style. If he fights more like he used to.
Brain point from Chopper should have had a huge whole on Kaido fight. And he should interact with Vegapunk to improve it.
Katakuri fight had a terrible ending. Snakeman made no difference in that fight.
Cracker fight also had a terrible ending. To end a serious fight as a joke. Just sucks.
