Would’ve personally preferred
Luffy and Zoro vs Kaido
Law and Kid vs Big Mom
Sanji vs King
Killer and Bepo vs Queen

I think all the other fights were fine except having
Brook vs Apoo

But oda decided to do the normal matchups

Being a former warlord is meaningless. Alabasta Luffy defeated a Warlord. Warlord is not a PL status.

kid and other peoples vs big mom
sanji vs king (but zoro vs king was pretty cool)

Luffy and anyone vs Kaido dont make sense with the whole "Joy Boy will be the one to defeat me" and the "in one-on-one always beat on Kaido", Kaido legend waa made to for he to be defeated by Luffy alone, would be nonsense to have the pirate Jesus and some random guy there with him

Tbh, the rooftop five should have fought against Kaido and Big Mom till the end all together.
Cause not only the spectacle would be better cause of more uniqiue charachter abilitys, combinations and interactions but it would fit more the theme of "Luffys true strength is to make allies", which would make it more unique than "yeah hes the main guy so he automaticly gets strong enough to defeat the strongest bad guy".
But actually I would liked the cope theory more which said the nine shadows are the strawhat pirates and make the battle a team up of the whole crew against Kaido, with everyone synergising with their abilities and personalities, and you can even still have Luffy as the last one standing left to give the finishing blow to combine both "my crew does what I cant but I am the one that saves them" things into one cohesive thing.
But nah Luffy just punches Kaido, gg no re😂

Scabbards - Franky - Brook vs Tobi Roppo

Marco - Kidd vs King - Queen

Robin - Nami - Chopper vs Smoothie

Neko - Inu vs Jack

Sanji - Usopp vs Cracker

Zoro - Denjiro - Jimbei vs Orochi (strongest swordsman in Wano, Mihawk's rival. Powerlevel-wise similar to an Admiral)

Law - Katakuri (wants to indirectly help Luffy) vs Yamato (Kaidou's son, as strong as Orochi. Powerlevel-wise similar to an Admiral)

Fujitora (Native of Wano) vs Charlotte Linlin.

Zunisha vs Kaidou. Kaidou oneshots Zunisha, killing it instantly.

Luffy vs Kaidou. Started first. Finished last.
