Questions & Mysteries Would you prefer your favorite character to be super strong but not very relevant, or vital to the plot but weak?

The plots kind of boring so I choose be stronger

It depends on why I like that character in first place. If a character is highlighted more due to power , then yeah I prefer the first option. If I like a character based on their characterization , then second option.
You don't like characters based on their charactization lmao stop pretending

Would I rather my favorite character be Mihawk (irrelevant since Marineford, 2011) or Usopp? I do not think Oda is doing well with either but I’d at least wanna see my fave. So weak but vital.

Robin is my favorite bud, even though I need more Robin fights, her fight be Black Maria did NOT satisfy me yet, even though it was good, I need more Robin spotlight and fights. Even though I do love kid, crocodile and sabo, I need more screen time for them, and more fights

My favorite is Sanji and he is both strong & relevant. Maybe not top 5 in both, but it's balanced enough.

Zoro is not super strong, he is strong and somewhat relevant. I do agree he represents the best mix of strength (combat focus + being badass) and relevance while not being ever-present

Sanji is more relevant (generally) and his story much more interesting but he definitely lacks combat focus. Sanji's potential as a character is ridiculously high but I prefer how Zoro is being handled as of today. Being a Sanji fan is so stressful :josad:
That's because Zoro's intended purpose is to be as flawless as possible and be a proper representation of Japanese, so people can idolize him.

Sanji on the other hand is a prop for Oda's creativity, that's why he gets a lot of things given to him, including Oda's weirder bit (like the ecchi stuff).
