Break Week Would Zoro and Sanji fans be happy if the straw hats were removed from the story, so the monster duo could shine uninterrupted by "lesser straw hats"?

If you were to have Zoro or Sanji as the MC instead of Luffy, of course there would be people that would complains like, "OMG, Zoro is a garbage trash MC" or "Sanji is pathetic as a protagonist" stuff like that. It would be a circle all over again.

Having more Strawhats makes things more lively and diverse. Don't think anybody is genuinely serious about the lesser SHs being background characters just for the sake of their favs shines.

Zoro >~ Luffy >> Sanji in terms of PL is my bet

In terms of leadership I bet he would even widen

the problem is not straw hats the problem is oda introduce to us many many side characters that barely under develop and barely fight off screen like samurai ,sn,momo,tama, ninja,orochi,yakuza,gifters,n many many other more that made people forget straw hats is not only zoro,luffy n sanji
compare to pre TS every story is great n move with the flow with lot,s of characters development ...
maybe after wano everything will go back to normal again

Id be happy if sanji didnt come back post timeskip so we wouldnt have to deal with his braindead reddit dwelling fans and we wouldnt have to go through the abomination that was whole cake island.
The rest of the strawhats are all amazing tho
