It's pretty clear at this point that most likely Zoro will face one of the calamities after getting this heaviliy injured on the roof

The present question is which opponent would Zoro benefit more from fighting

Zoro ain't fighting any Calamities. But if he does then King would be a better opponent for him since Zoro can maybe forge a black blade during that fight.

Dying from Orochi is a hell of an achievement, it takes effort unless he places a bomb.

Zoro benefit more from sleeping and recovering, waiting for Onigashima fall, get back his Shusui, send Hiyori to hell and mind her own damn slut business and beat Kaido before Oda drawn more asspulling to Luffy.

I'm petty sure Zoro will be healed through Marco's regeneration abilities at some point before the next Act. After hurting Kaido I don't think there will be much of a benefit with his growth but the battle itself would still be huge for the Alliance should he defeat him.

These should definitely be the next fights and not a single one should be completely off-paneled. I can do without Neko vs Perospero though.

I believe zoro entered onigashima and most likely wano stronger then king
that being said zoro usually enters most of his fights stronger then his opponents but with some caveat. He was outclassing mr. 1 in their fight he just couldn’t cut him, zoro decided not to use ashura out the gate against kaku at ennies lobby because plot, down a sword against ryuma, was superior to pica but pica Kept running
i believe zoro will enter a fight against king wounded but will learn to use acoc in base or learn to extend ashura. So I guess I’m saying just because zoro was already stronger doesn’t mean he can’t benefit.
