Speculations Yamato's role in the story

She is meant to stay on Wano once everything will be over perhaps.
She could be meant to join the Strawhats if Carrot won't already prove enough.
Her role is certainly bond with Kaido, if Kaido didn't exist she wouldn't and not just from a genetic perspective, but a plot perspective as well. She might even be the key to a Kaido weakness for all we know.
Yamato's character is still plenty to explore.

Oda introduced him pretty suddenly and late into the arc too which makes it kinda weird
I also think that Momo will grow character wise when he confronts Yamato and tells her that she’s not Oden and that neither is he(Momo himself distancing himself from his fathers legend). Together they’ll face the “resurrected” Orochi. Yamato is probably stronger than Orochi but we’ve yet to see the capabilities of his devil fruit and he is craven so he’ll probably fight dirty.

I guess for Yamato she just brings in that badass female character that fans looking forward to. SHe also brings relatability personality like Tom boy and tough girl for female reader and viewers of the series. Fans I think will see her badass female character. We might actually end up seeing strong female fighter who is also combating. She also creates more shock value for random fodder talk about just like Jinbei being the former warlord. She also level plain field moving story forward against upcoming threats that lie ahead I don’t think yamato could stay in wano base on the fact what her father did to this country for 20 + years. Knowing one piece world discriminate based on bloodline and lineages of criminal acts. She likely going have leave wano. Sure momo and possibly Shinobu will try to Voucher for her. But The citizen aren’t wano familer with her to trust to much. Base on the fact She is Kaido’s kid She Might leave as you originally intended go with straw hats on her journey with them. Since father empire has Crumbled she would nowhere else to go. My guess her goal herself make herself legend and to tough person just like oden once was. I do see her giving oden’s journal to momo as some form friendship between the two. To remember momo’s father legacy and the adventures he had. This when her Journey starts now now that she is grown and recognizing to be her own individual person is time go out sea world has offer for her as person.
