Speculations Yamato's role in the story

You are not wrong but both Momonosuke and Yamato need to realize that Oden is dead. Life must go on.
Oden is not the last thing in the world to care about. Let that man be dead in peace.

I know inherited will is the main motive in One Piece but Oda went all the way with Oden's will thing to the point where it became annoying.

Inherited will in general is boring especially if you are a long-time reader and you are growing irl with the series.
Momo's come to terms with his father's fate, though. He just needed to man up. As for Yamato, I want to know the source to their roleplay before passing judgement. It's pretty obvious Oda wants us to be bewildered and freaked out by their behavior. Look no further than how Momo and Shinobu react.

Problem with Yamato is that she's very bland with the only interesting things about her being her connections to other people. She's Kaido's daughter, adores Oden and meet Ace...these are just cliffhanger moments with the substance being saved for later. We need substance and actual character for Yamato. She came outta nowhere with a pretty big role with makes her blandness stick out.

The problem is y'all being too hasty and can't wait. She literally got introduced this summer, like 6-7 chapters ago.... something like that.... Shit has to move story wise, a raid is happening... Not much time to do a deep dive... So my opinion is to calm yo tits people and wait a bit longer.

Ok but introducing "potential" Straw Hat 80 chapters deep during the raid/war moment feels forced af.

It's not the first time during this arc or in post-time skip One Piece in general.

Oda has a bad habit of introducing a shit ton of characters for no reason at all and then the arc becomes too forced/rushed or too slow because of that.

It's the journey, not the destination. The strength of the ending is dependent on content before it. Yamato is still bland right now and given how other characters got lots of characterization in much less time, talking about Yamato'a blandness is pretty justified.

Oda can characterize characters easy. Sasaki amd Black Maria has less panel time than Yamato and they have better/more unique characterization. I can tell you things about them but not Yamato.

As for SH potential, there's none at the moment. Yamato hasnt done anything like the other SHs except a unique interaction with Luffy.

I know. Until further development, if there will be any she is straight-up V2 Carrot.

I'm going to have to say bullshit on that one. We've seen this shit before. What we haven't seen much before is a Character that hails from the antagonists family/side believing/Roleplaying themselves to be a person from the past to fulfil their dreams that they couldn't achieve. At least in this form.

We have no idea what it means for her to be like Oden? For me I kind see someone tough and strong possible making herself into legend like he was.

Seems that Wano will not just end in this Onigashima battle, and probably Yamato time will be late in the Arc, pehaps he will be involved in the plot of Orochi and the Kozuki heirs, as seems that Orochi power could trigger in the next chapters, he have some info about Hiyori being alive, Fukurokujo os up to something and even Kanjuro death has been quite strange. Could be that Yamato will be the one to deal with Orochi and save Hiyori and become some kind of inspiration for Momo.

She's way better than Carrot right now. Carrot has no plot importance and has been a side character since introduction. She doesnt have to be around for the SHs to bring the dawn.

Oda needs to improve his screen time development for sure.
Oda needs to do something about his reliance on cliff hangers and questions to hold the reader's attention. He saves absolutely everything for later and when he does draw attention to it, speed runs through it all.

Does that make her not bland? Oda is relying on questions to sustain the character at the moment. It's an issue with his "save everything for later" habit. The problem was the same with Toki.

In my honest opinion, Oda is opening too many plot holes too late in the story. He already has a shit ton of things to explain and he adds another one on top of that time and time again. He spends too much time on irrelevant stuff during the chapters. Stupid not funny anymore gags and hypes things too much.
+ the biggest problem as I said. Screen time development ( for characters ).
If he continues this crazy road he will rush everything in the last few arcs.

What The hell ZSJ mean?
[automerge]1603341850[/automerge]

All I’m saying is you’ll probably have an incredible fight between two strong female characters being yonko child. With some Intense fights between them the two.
ZSJ is Zoro, Sanji, Jinbe... Still waiting for their official/fan collective name...

Oh that's not bad... Time to see a female vs. female power fight...

Yamato is just Oda's "tool" to have an Oden with the crew to reach Laugh Tale...
What do you think she would serve for in that case?

I think that if Oda really wants to make her join, she must be set an important goal.

She can't live in the shadow of Oden forever, just like Robin didn't live in the shadow of Ohara forever.

I expect a character development from Oda if he makes her join.

She character who admire oden a lot. On adventure went on and strong big influence he was throughout the world.
She Probably want to make herself into a legend to be the toughest person just like Oden once was. Wants go on same journey that he once did. Since she has been lock up 20 years. Oden a lot ways legendary figure throughout wano Even people outside are aware on who was as person and his accomplishment.
