Speculations Yamato's role in the story

Yeah the guy is an alcohol abuser and wants to commit suicide. His mental health state is bad to begin with and I doubt Yamato is the reason for this.
This sounds realistic somewhat.
Ofc he's not going to read out to find out about One Piece. But the logbook is still going to serve a purpose. Just wait and be patient.

Many here forget that Yamato post Wano will follow Oden's will, either in the crazy way she's doing now, or in a healthy way, where she accepts that she's not Oden, but will also continue to value his will.
In both cases, it would be quite counterproductive with what Oda has built through the character, with her going sailing alone (whether the fans / haters like it or not). Being that Oden could not go sailing alone, because he was totally useless, in terms of navigation, not knowing where to start, etc.
And the most important topic (like it or not) is that in the OP world, to achieve your goals you need other people (nakamas).
Yamato only has 2 options: stay with Momo or be Strawhat, and I know this will drive the fandom crazy for better or worse.

Her Oden wank is unhealthy with each chapter. I could understand something like: I want to become someone like Oden in the future! and move on.
Not the shit she does atm. Someone needs to get her out of this misery.

She really is a weird character written by oda. Lets see few facts
1. She is super strong.
2. From her jump cover page she does seem important somehow given her screen time. Ofcourse other than fighter
3. She is kaidos daughter. Very huge connection to kaido. Important player overall as kaidos only child. Same style as kaido too which is unique.
4. Oda gave her reasons to despair due to kaido and hope through oden
4.1. was caged her whole life.
4.2. wants to go out on adventure like oden. Pretty much her goal after wano.
5. A very strong ally to have who would fight kaido.
6. Introduced pretty late in the arc and seems to be intended(hopefully)
7. Has odens log.
1 - 5 pretty much suggests she will fight along side luffy and others.
But can we just add her as a number against kaido? There is no need to do that. Adding just one won't matter unless that addition is important
So 3 and 4 and the fact that she fought kaido multiple times might be used and we get her leadership/info in how to fight against him, his powers and all.
But 6, pretty much makes her seem like plot device for the above point. Unless she is important afterwards too. And that with 4.2 leads us to yamato as a SH.
7 can just be a way to motivate her but probably to make her know about odens context. It could also act as a hint to missing phoneglyp for SHs. I mean we haven't had a puzzle solving since skypiea arc.
As of now I only have the points I can think of withe given info.
There is also a speculation assuming she is just a plot device to defeat kaido but that ends in her not existing after wano and is kinda not so OP like.

I really don’t think Yamato is comparable with someone like Kiku who referred to herself as female, despite previously being referred to as a brother, out of a dedicated lifestyle rooted in the heart, mind, and soul. I suppose a more comparable statement can be made in regards to Kawamatsu referring to himself as a kappa even though he used to be called a fishman.
Yamato doesn’t seem to be referring to herself as a male as a gender lifestyle choice, but out of desperation to keep Oden’s will alive in wanting to escape Kaido’s abuse and save Wano’s citizens, especially after it was made all the more difficult after Kaido shot Oden to his death. This combined with Luffy telling Yamato she can’t just copy Oden, along with her telling Luffy “Fine, you be Oden then.” very much inclines me to conclude that, and that it’s possible to be yourself while still keeping someone else’s will alive.
