That was never his normal durability. And he still got k.o'd after Kizaru kicked him into WB before Ivankov gave him a second round of hormones
How about Kaido failing to oneshot Law with CoC hybrid bagua?
Or even to knock out 30 broken bones Zoro who could still hear everything Luffy said and realize he unlocked a new power

If Oda made Yonkos as strong as Rikudou Obito or Rikudou Madara where no ninja could really touch them, then gave Luffy and friends stupid PU would had been much more dissapointing.
They made Kaido and Big Mom with weakness that could be used to defeat them, they are strong but defeatable.
They aint gods, there is no god tier in One Piece. We have conquer users fighting and conquer user reach the top usually or have the potential for it.
One Piece characters have their personalities which usually is their weakness, that is the reason Big Mom or Kaido could seem weak, but they arent.
