Yoru is the "most Powerful Sword in the World" and one of two known Black Blades. With the other being Shusui which was isolated in Wano for hundreds of years. What if Yoru was originally forged into a Black Blade to be used against Imu during the Great War. and then Hidden away and Protected in a Dojo after? Then it was found by the World Government and they sent the Marines to retrieve it. destroying the Dojo and causing Mihawk to it to take Yoru as well as being the "Great Betrayal" that made Mihawk start hunting the Marines?

His purpose of his character is to be the most skilled swordsman and Zoro's final test to get the tittle of "Best Swordsman". Turning a blade Black is something more than just skill or Haki. It requires something else as well, we just don't know what that last thing is yet.

Is Aramaki actually 100% confirmed to have a Black Blade? and whose to say Aramaki was the one to turn it black? Zoro had Shusui a Black Blade for two years he wasn't the one to turned it permanently black.
