I think if we get any level of a "Marine Rebellion" in the story, it's most likely that it'll focus mostly on SWORD and not much else. Personally, I don't see Akainu or the Marines as a whole rebelling against the World Government. So, I don't think the Marines will get "redeemed" until Luffy changes the World.
Could I see SWORD having a fight with the God's Knights? Maybe? It feels like the God's Knights really should outmatch most members of SWORD. But, really, all the God's Knights have that SWORD doesn't is regeneration. And I feel like SWORD are better tacticians overall, so they might be able to work around that. So...it's possible we could see SWORD and the God's Knights fight, at some point.
It still feels like Oda's cooking something up for X-Drake. He keeps focusing on him, like when we saw him recovering in the Marine Hospital. I suppose he could still get some sort of a role in the future. Maybe Smoker and his Mystery Box play a role in getting SWORD more involved with the Final Saga? X-Drake, Smoker, and Koby could end up teaming up to do...something in the Final Saga.
I'm still not sure if Aokiji/Kuzan is supposed to be a secret member of SWORD or not. It'd be a interesting enough reveal. I'm just not sure if that's where Oda's going. If so, there's another way SWORD could play a part in the Final Saga, at the last minute. SWORD making a play to remove Blackbeard from the board.
Koby's almost certainly going to do something, at some point, probably. He did say he was going to go after Luffy, so I'm expecting some sort of clash between these two, at some point. Just to show off how much these two friends have grown over the years.
And if Koby's there, I guess Hibari will be going with him. I guess Hibari could have a little fight with Nami or Robin. Why not?
Garp's probably not going to die. I don't see Oda killing another of Luffy's family members, after Ace. It would just feel like Luffy hasn't grown enough, if that happens. It'd be too much of a failure. So, either Garp will escape, or someone will come rescue him. Maybe even Aokiji/Kuzan himself.
So, I'm guessing SWORD will eventually make a move, in the future. I think they're going to be relevant, at least for a arc. Maybe even the next one, if we're going to Lodestar. Seems like a pretty decent place for a ambush of some kind.
