I've read several posts saying that Zoro should trade the Sandai for another, stronger sword. You guys are a bunch of damn marketers. Even in the real world, people can have emotional attachments to things, as if they felt that there was some spiritual energy in an object. Imagine in One Piece, where Meitos have souls, so much so that Oda went to great lengths to draw humanized forms of them. Regardless of the low rating of the Sandai, Zoro certainly has an attachment to it. He's won years and won several battles with this sword. He can't just discard it just to get a stronger one.
