Which had the better timeskip training arc?

Luffy got the best training, arguably cause Ray is the most experienced out of them.

Mihawk also explained alot stuff to Zoro, he seems to recall it every time he needs to. In the recent chapter it was revealed that he has brain deficiency and litterarly forgets the most basic shit he was told for no reason, like about CoC

We got literal confirmation what sanji "training" entails and was said in the manga during the timeskip and by some people doubted (cause they cant read):
Sanji defeated 99 okamas and ran away from them, he got no lesson in Haki, fighting style, or explanation.

So in that order, i would say

Zoro had a proper master who taught him shit. Sanji ran away from okamas and fought them for recipes. As far as we know, no formal instructions, so shit training

Luffy and Zoro received instruction with their training.

Sanji trained himself.

As character arcs, Sanji is the one of the three that's disappointing. Unlike Ray, Mihawk and Ivankov didn't have self interest in watching their charges grow. Zoro paid for it. Sanji was given affection and advice that he ignored, and rightfully so for the most part, but there was no cost or sacrifice.

Which is why you end up with weird shit like people thinking he taught himself about Haki

I love it when weird shit I think gets confirmed in the manga while the weird shit fartbros think never gets mentioned or draw in the manga, only staying in headcanons

He literally says in this chapter itself that Ivan is not his master. Luffy and Zoro got rhe way better training.

Luffy and zoro got trained by absolute gods. Zoro lost an eye during the timeskip. He alrrady exhibited frightening king haki in punk hazard and then against kaido unconciously. He never complains about hardship, thats why he is not whining about his training master like sanji does all the time. After the time skip though, he didnt have as many occasions to power up as luffy did. He only got 2 real fights in the new world where he went all out: against kaido in the rooftop battle and against king. After that, Oda came back to the usual scheme where zoro is paired with sub par opponent.

Against lucci he didnt bother to put his bandana. Which shows that he doesnt think of that fight as something that should be remembered. And his fight against sommer is a joke.


Sanji had a shitty trainer. Iva probably has a low mastery of haki in general. He doesnt have the charisma of a conqueror to earn respect like ray and mihawk do.
