To be a great leader in One piece, you have to aspire to do what seems impossible. Luffy is a great leader for leading the alliance against Kaido and Big Mom, despite Zoro himself saying that was impossible in Zou. Essentially you have to be outrageous in One piece to be a great leader, was invading Ennies lobby to rescue Robin a level-headed decision ? Rescuing Sanji in Tottoland ?...none of this qualify, but Luffy is applauded for being a great leader for doing them.

I literally started laughing at the idea of Lanji using IJ against a Seraphim, it barely did anything against a distracted high tier. 
But some people are still convinced that the Strawhats are just going to pick the Admirals apart and walk away as if nothing happened, 4 top tiers, a handful of pseudo top tier vice admirals, 2-7 beyond YC1 Seraphim, an army of fodders with swords and guns, CP0, the Gorosei might be fighters, all of this for Zoro and Luffy, the only 2 proven characters that can hang with top tiers, 2 YC and 6 fodders.
We saw Law try to block BM's lightning with his curtain, he lasted less than Zoro against Hakai.
