No offense bro, but I really don't think you have any room to talk. I've seen you wish death on people and entire fan bases before because you dislike them. He may be rude but at least it doesn't escalate to death threats.
Regarding the topic of this thread-
It's very entertaining when you're extremely bored and have nothing to do, or are defending your favourite character when the other fanabse starts.
Just doing it randomly and out of nowhere is kinda a bit weid though.
So even the dude talking here thinks Shanks declined in strength when he said even though he was missing his arm so they spoke about shanks and his duel with WSS not the other way around thanks for proving my points
They are living cosplays of the rivalry in the manga and just as stubborn as the characters themselves.
Occasionally, they put their differences aside and work together with the rest of the fanbase, just like how sometimes Zoro and Sanji team up for the benefit of the crew, but they can't help but revert to their true nature afterwards. They bait each other constantly and believe innocent bystanders are also involved in their dispute, just like Z&S. It's kind of fascinating from a distance.
This is just a hypothesis, but I think it has to do with us being on Wano.
This arc is the payoff for the saga that started as early as Fishman Island. Emotions are running high.
Both Zoro and Sanji haven’t had much opportunity to go all out and to firmly establish a hierarchy like pre timeskip before.
It started peaking around WCI. Sanji was getting a ton of blowback, and the perception was that it was mostly Zoro fans dishing it out.
Then comes Wano, Zoro has appeared “mortal,” so people took the opportunity reciprocate in kind, which led to the other side to hit back, over, and over in a constant cycle. It has dominated such a large part of the discussions, that almost anything can set it off at this point.
Even the end of the arc won’t bring an end to it, because both sides are so ingrained in their way of thinking, they’ll just selectively pick out anything that benefits their positions.
Every chapter isn’t a new piece of the story, but a sports game and waiting to see who wins this week. Will it be the Sanji Jets? Or the Zoro Leafs? The final matchups are the playoffs.
Their not equal in combat ,and oda never made them that way. Go through every arc in One piece and youll see oda gives Zoro more combative focus/development and puts more emphasis on Zoro's strength. Thats why Zoro typically grows from his 1v1 fights while Sanji does not.
They are equal in what they offer to Luffys crew tho

Bro, if you paid attention to the black leg style attack nomenclature, you would know that Sanji was always in constant evolution. Progression and Up's it suits for all protagonists
Zoro always wins because Sanji's not a fighter. It doesn't matter what Sanji does, Zoro always has the upper hand as a fighter because he trains a lot to fight, while Sanji trains as a cook. It's just that Sanji has to protect the kitchen so he needs the strength to fight for things he needs to protect, like women and people he loves. Sanji's more of a protector.
