Ok however from a basic point of view what is the difference between black blade Shisui and Zoro hardening Wado lchimonji?.. The advantages seem minimal and not really a power up per say.. Unless Zoro break one of his swords when hardened the distinction is pretty much pointless..

If you are comparing a black blade sword to black blade sword I don't think there is a big difference between the two. The benefit to just possessing a black blade, not counting any unique benefits sword may hold, is a blade that can't be broken.

The greatest benefit to a black blade will always comes from obtaining the power to forge a black blade. My earlier post explained some of the known and possible benefits a character could gain from forging a black blade.

Remember, the same Luffy who beat Katakuri was completely destroyed by base Kaido. While a severely weaken and nerfed Zoro bested and scarred hybrid Kaido in a 1v1.

No. Asura will always be Zoro's most powerful ability.
He will get power-up in form of Black Blade though.
However, that will not dethrone demon-god Asura.

The high Grandmaster is just so amazing I feel he will overall not need any extra power in the short time.
